Honestly I want one. Man if I was healthy I would get this and just drive all over the states. Heck I would ship one to Europe and go back to a bunch of the countries I visited. This would be so much better than the places I stayed. Also man I can’t get over how luxurious it really is. Oh may have missed it how much battery storage does it have. How much can you run just off of solar. Great video Hank.

Yeah we think a lot alike Cujo... I’m not sure exactly what Lithium setup it has on board, however I think the average from just the batteries alone being trickle charged from solar during the day, I’ve seen an average of about 5 to 6 hours running everything...so if you add in the fact that whenever you drive around or just turn on the Diesel engine that also charges the battery (driving charges it up more) you can go as long as you want without really having to plug up anywhere...so the only problem you would have is dumping the black and grey tanks and refilling fresh water...If you augmented that with eating at restaurants, suing public bathrooms and truck showers or gym memberships that allow you to shower at any location...you could push the envelope really far...

Hank love this Van! You and Nick are great.. Nick is so informative and doesn't look a day over 50😂 .. I've watched all your videos thanks for doing all you two do... BUT WAHT I REALLY WANT TO SEE.. get Nick on it NOW as I've seen the floorplan option now for 2022- same model but it has the rear Lounge WITH the loftbed.. to me it's the best of all worlds.. at least so far.. since so may times the view outside or easy access is out the back of the van.. you want to be able to open up those back doors and utilize the screens if that's where it's at.... and also practicality.. Let's be real if I need a couple sheets of plywood or need to move some furniture for my parents.. I can stop and pick it up and slide it into the van.. with that slide down bed blocking the entire back end it's not happening. The loftbed makes the "functionality" so great as far as I can tell (without seeing one yet.. what is the head height with it up?) The only issue I see from the floorplan that could be improved.. Class B's feel so much larger if you can look over your right shoulder as driving and see out all the windows all the way back.. could use a redesign to get rid of the wall that sits at the end of the kitchen counter/front of the lounge. ???

@@strangerpalooza Thanks Hank. It’s just the best of both worlds you don’t always have to put the bed away you just roll it up. I heard it said by another owner that inevitably if the bed is down somebody gets dirt or sand in the sheets or the bedding this way it’s up and out of the way and you have that free access in and out of the back of the van which to me without it just a dealbreaker👍🏻

This is almost perfect. The 2 things I don’t like or at least is not clear. 1. Is this an all season, insulated rig like the revel, sto or Ekko? 2. Those back seats don’t seem like the safest place for passengers. I would worry about being rear ended. Whoever is there is going to get crushed.

It's nice but if i had the money to buy it i may go a different direction. Cup holder area seems wasted the bath i get it its a small space but feel design could have been better. It's nice it transports 5

Nah. Loose the air dam and skirting. That stuff will get torn off pulling out of the driveway. This thing is to fancy for “Over-landing”. Easy to clean, simple and durable finishes, and reliable systems is where it’s at. This thing is for bouncing between Cracker Barrel’s on the interstate.

Interesting, same price as a fully loaded Winnie Revel. Revel is more off-grid with better 4x4 set up + the cassette. Are you planning to do a review on the Thor Sanctuary soon? It's a similar floorplan to this 2022 Patriot and almost 60k less in price.

The Revel does not have near the features, both have 4x4, but Patriot has better insulation, better solar, suspension upgrade, TV, microwave, recessed induction cooktop, and more. The small cassette is a huge drawback for some folks compared to a 15 gal black tank with macerator pump. We were going to buy a Revel, until we saw the Patriot.

@@dking4883 Leave it to obese Americans who need the 15+ gallon pooper in their RVs. And who wants to be hunting for a dumpsite all the time. Plus you're waiting in line behind a Class C with a 25+ gal black tank. 🤢 Nah, for me do what the Europeans do - it's effluent in a suitcase. Find a bathroom stall or dig a hole on my next trip to The Sequoias.

Nice video, though the “ruggedness” is obviously just for posers, as those steps would make any off-roading impossible. He said it perfectly, this thing is. “Awesome-looking”, emphasis being on ‘looking’! It has all the off-road goodies (solar, battery, etc.) but it’s effectively just lipstick for a rig that can’t go too far off the beaten path. Anyway, love how you Muricans love to sell the “Patriot” and “Freedom”, like that means anything. Good luck with that guys…sigh.

For sure it’s on the expensive side, I think as Nick said if you’re used to the luxury and cost of that plus you want to get more off grid and don’t need the extra two to four feet...it’s not really bad, and can be your only vehicle...this Chassis is what I see a lot of the Van over landing guys going with (and by the time you kit out the cheaper ones you’re back in this neighborhood of money spent anyway)

It isn't that much more expensive if you compare it to a Revel on the same Mercedes chassis. The Revel looks stripped down compared to the Patriot - which already has almost every mod you see the revel owners spending big buck on.
