For everyone wondering what that Fiat 500 at 4:27 is, it is an Ellenator. Officially it is a "three wheeler", has a restricted engine and you're allowed to drive it with 16.

Saw one for sale not too long ago, although it was more like a few panels of rust, some welded seams and no floor, with maybe an engine sitting on the dirt where it had fallen after the rest of the car rotted away. Basically just enough left that someone could include a few parts in a scratch build and call it a classic on a technicality

Mostly not true! Army guys often sell their cars locally. Or Germans import them. Plenty of American cars there - if you actually want one lol. Germans love the “Oldtimers” and trucks. Yeehaw!

Not necessarily. The world's largest American car show is in Sweden every year (The Big Meet) so there are a TON of American cars in Europe. A lot more European cars in America though!

Mostly leftover imports sold off locally from the military bases when American families moved home, get quite a few of them about in Germany and the UK and people over here look after them because they are hard to get hold of

At 04:25 That's a so-called "Ellenator" It's a Fiat 500, which has been modified to run on 3 tires (those 2 at the back get countes as 1) It also has less power With that thing you can drive in Germany at the age of 16 with the license A1 (Motorcycles with up to 125ccm and up to 15 hp) It is technically a Trike

@@priesermax It is surprisingly safe, because the "one wheel" axe is in the back of the car, The Reliant Robin for example tends to roll over because it has only one wheel in the front. These cars are built in a small village in Germany called Dösingen, and you can get them on multiple platforms: Seat Ibiza, VW Polo, Fiat 500 ... These cars are named "Ellenator" because their constructor's name is Wenzel Ellenrieder. He is a car dealer and mechanic. A few years ago I lived a village away and he cared about my car.

@@priesermax Und viel sicherer als diese komischen Minicars mit den Mofakennzeichen, denn die Ellenatoren sind ganz normale Autos mit ganz normalem Crashverhalten. Wenn mein Sohn 16 ist, kriegt er so ein Teil, schon alleine, damit ich beruhigt bin, wenn er unterwegs ist. BTW: Ich habe bis 2018 in Linden gewohnt, zwischen Dösingen und Thalhofen :-)

@@clausappel8086 Ja, das finde ich auch Sind ja nicht nur so Sachen wie Airbags und Knautschzone, sondern ABS etc. au Und man ist halt kein so schlimmes Verkehrshindernis, die fahren ja auch knapp 100, regt dann auch nicht zu so Überholzwang wie bei Mopedautos an Und ja cool, komme zwar von bissl weiter weg, kenne ich aber sogar 😁
