In 1980, documentary filmmaker Rex Bloomstein went into Manchester's Strangeways prison to create a series following daily life inside. The series would go on to win two BAFTAs and provide insight into what life was like before the Strangeways protests - the longest prison protest in British penal history.

I wasin 1976. 1978.that was when Mr Brown wa govenor. Then a few times down on cons.1990 riots as well.i no that nick inside an out.so ya see I fucking do no.iv served 17 an a half year behind the door.
