Strasburg Railroad Train Rides Through Amish Country [S2: E03]

Жыл бұрынWelcome! In today’s video, I’ll take a The Strasburg Railroad Train Rides on the "Road To Paradise" with Rail Weekly and experience turn-of-the-century steam railroading and beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch farm land.
Passengers buy train tickets at the East Strasburg Station, which has shops like a Thomas the Tank Engine gift shop, a restaurant, rail car displays, a historic water tower, and historic buildings.
Strasburg Rail Road is more than simply a train trip, and your journey on America's oldest short-line railroad begins on the historic East Strasburg Station platform.
The Strasburg Rail Road takes people on a 45-minute trip to Paradise, the town's name. Along the way, the train goes by breathtaking scenery and real working Amish farms. Passengers ride in beautifully restored, original passenger cars pulled by a huge, coal-burning steam locomotive. The train also has a dining car where people can eat while enjoying the scenery. Every corner brings you back to when railroads were more prevalent and life was less busy.

That is definitely on my to do list! I rode the EBT a long time ago when I was about 8 or 9. I have always wanted to go back. It's so exciting with all the new developments there.

@@RailWeekly oh ok and that was before the accident 475 had which was on November 2nd 2022 at 11:23Am when running around at paradise it collided with an Excavator after going through a Misaligned switch causing damage to the smokebox door it has since been repaired and came back to service

@@Keystone1906_Productions Thanks for that! I couldn't remember which locomotive was involved in that. I was even thinking while they were running around at Leaman, the engineer needs to focus on what he's doing instead of hanging out the window and waving. 😀
