Love your videos and especially loving this road trip! Keep them coming! I live about 45 minutes from the Great Smokies National Park in Tennessee, USA. We see the occasional black bear, elk, loads of deer, turkey, and other wildlife within the park. Some have even attested to the return of the big cats, (mountain lions), to the area. Even though we live in a suburban area, every summer we have a bear walk through a neighborhood, usually in search of someone’s garbage or snacks left in their car. 😁

Travel Beans there was a video last summer-a guy was out in a boat fishing in the lake about a mile from my house. He started videoing what he thought was a dog swimming across the lake. He saw it wasn’t as it went by his boat. It was a bear, and a pretty good size one. So funny, it just looked at the guy, like Hey! then kept on going, lol

Great video, Stratford is a lovely place, got to know though what happened to Emma's finger? In the pub there was a plaster but in the rest of the video there was no plaster, I'm sure I'm not the only bean that is worried and concerned about her finger

Hi Guys, sorry I haven't been commenting recently we are experiencing one of the strongest anti VPN attacks by the Chinese gov and the great firewall here recently so haven't had the opportunity to view too many of your hilarious vlogs. Anyway today got lucky and got connected then found your latest offering which is so close to my hometown. Spent many hours in Stratford when I was younger, so it was great to see so little has changed. Love how you explain the positives of life in England, makes me very homesick. Sitting in a beautiful pub on a miserable gray day in front of a roaring fire drinking beer and eating a pub lunch in great company likes yourselves, heaven. Not sure if you have the next week or so planned out already, but if you have any free time, my hometown "Rugby" is only 16 miles from Stratford. It's the birthplace of Rugby football, has a small football related museum, is also the home to Rugby school a famous private school featured in "Tom Brown's Schooldays", it's the birthplace of the jet engine which was developed by Sir Frank Whittle in the BTH works in Rugby, and finally when I was growing up there it had the dubious reputation for having the most city center pubs per capita which might appeal to the "Tipsy Beans". PS: Not too sure if this is true but found it online, so a potential word of caution to any Swan fighters out there "In 2001 a man in Ireland has his leg broken by a swan when he was trying to provoke (read "fight") it 😂😂😂😂😂 Back off to Chiang Mai in 2 weeks, going to spend 2 months there and then later this year 3 months in Vietnam. You guys are done with Asia this year I guess?

Hey good to hear from you James. I have never even considered Rugby but it would be interesting for sure. Another one added to the list 😊Wow you are going back to CM?! I thought you were maybe giving up on the nomading?

Yes @@TravelBeans despite my original hopes I'm still unable to stay full-time in China, my current 2 year visa requires me to leave every 90 days and then return. So as my wife needs to travel to her hometown for 2 months at the same time we decided that me spending that time in Chiang Mai was a good idea. Next time I'll probably only leave for a week and return, although we are considering a month or so in Vietnam in late August.

I took my fiancé there decades back and fortuitously the RSC were putting on Romeo and Juliet. Only it was one of "those" interpretations where not many people wore clothes. So as we were in the gods and a long way away, when Juliet made her appearance and I reached for the binoculars (20p needed) I got a severe slap on the wrist. Such is love.

Best place for wildlife? Wetherspoons. Thanks Fava Beans for another enjoyable episode. Watch out for those mathematician snakes in the UK, sorry Adders, they're poisonous.
@tonys1636

Fortunately not lethal to healthy adults, can be serious for kids as I found out as a child, of course as is the way the areas they inhabit are miles from a phone box and help. Moral is, do not run in areas of heathland they inhabit, just walk noisily, with heavy footfalls so they can slither away.

@@tonys1636 Hi. My brother, who lives in Cornwall, showed me a knot of snakes under a rock. I was camping nearby.

@@daveh1247 It was group of them that I blundered onto under dead bracken, got bitten multiple times, my mate cycled hell for leather to the phone box on the road about 5 mile away and came back with the local G.P., who had anti venom as it happened quite often in the area, the Ambulance arrived about 20 minutes later and took me to the local Hospital 40 mile away. This was 60 years ago, Adders were more common then, one of our endangered species now.

@@tonys1636 Wow! That scares me. I have been bitten and stung by a few things while travelling over the years with little or no trouble. A while ago I was stung by a bee and ended up in hospital, now carry an epipen. I dread what would happen if I was bitten by a snake, lol.
@tonys1636
@tonys1636 5 жыл бұрын
@@daveh1247 The chances in the UK are rare these days as Adders are now rare. Snake venom causes paralysis and if it reaches vital organs death, fortunately Adders venom is not that potent but still the same effect, potent enough to kill its prey and paralyse or kill animals attacking them. Most snakes are timid and will flee and hide and will only strike if looking for prey, surprised or threatened. Just as we do if threatened. They are still one of my phobias though, Spiders no problem, my house is like a hotel for them, some are huge for house spiders, only normally seen during their mating season, randy buggers.

You have Adders, Vipera berus in England, which is a poisonous snake. But don't worry, there are no recorded human deaths caused by adders in the past 22 years. As long as the bite is treated properly, nausea, swelling and bruising are the worst effects that can be experienced by someone who’s bitten by an adder.
