This brand is so amazing- I respect them so much and the owner of it is so passionate about skincare and their customers. I'd much rather support smaller brands whenever possible- and this one is so worthy of that support! You'll have to let me know how you like them!

They did an amazing job with it and really did a lot of research on the proper formulation of a hydrating product with the ratios of ceramides and fatty acids. It really is almost a work of art!

I wanted to love it so much as I bought it after my skins barrier got a bit red and dehydrated when trying out a stronger retinol. Was the most reviews online and having oily blemish prone skin I figured using it at a moisturizer would be perfect for me. It doesnt leave my skin greasy but oddly felt super heavy for my skin type in the sense of causing endless congestion and sadly at the same time didnt help the redness at all or even surface dry patches. My usual luck lol. I sometimes wish I had naturally dry skin and was able to pile on endless oils and heavy moisturizers when needed as feels so much more frustrating trying to heal damhe yet not cause congestion I'm the process! 😅

I think you are right- it does have a bit of an earthy / herbal "ish" scent that is light and dissipates quickly!

There is quite a bit of information available stating that Parabens are not safe. And there are many less controversial preservatives. I've never used a paraben free product that was at risk for developing mold. Lol. Everyone has to use ingredients they are comfortable with. And I personally choose to avoid Parabens as long as there are conflicting bodies of evidence out there.

I think Kelly Driscoll did a comparison between the two. One of the ingredients in Klairs' cream is photosensitive and causes irritation when exposed to light. I own both products and Soon Jung 2x barrier cream. My personal favorite is using the Soon Jung 2x carrier. I can use it in the daytime without worrying about sun induced irritation or my skin being stained orange like with Liquid Gold.
