As you can see from my channel there is quite a few drummers who use double pedal and two kick drums. Using double pedal gives freedom in the layout of the kit since you don't have to actually reach the 2nd kick drum. So it can be more ergonomic for the drummer. It also makes life easier for the sound engineers since you need to mic/trigger only one kick drum. Obviously with double pedal the second kick drum is only for the visual appearance and making the kit look metal and badass :)

At festivals they typically only want to tune one bass drum it make for easier and quicker transitions between bands.

Because allowing a 2ohm minimum load, one can easily handle 2 x 8x10” 4ohm cabs, or 4 4x10” 8ohm cabs Yet, you know what?
