great cover. maybe tolkki isn't as good as dio but.. he sounds as unique as dio and thats great for singer :) and guitar is ok even though not as good as blackmore but still ok. and drums are great. absolutely great cover!

I say this cover sounds better overall than the original. Ok Dio is amazing, but the guitar and drums of Strato are fucking amazing. And who has a bad thing to say about Tolkki?

Really sure, my cousin came a few years ago with the album A tribute to Dio that has many covers by bands like Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Helloween even Ygnwie. The Cover of the Album was the Creature Fron Holy Diver From Dio. The Tribute include song from all Dio Bands, Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbat and Dio's Band. Sorry for my english lol

this is good stuff, never heard of these guys before, now I'm keen to hear more. OF course there's the usual people moaning about it not being as good as the original ... give it up people! Yes I agree, Dio is one of the music gods but even he would be proud of this cover. It's always nice to hear another's implementation of a great song. Cheers

Damn fucking straight! TImo's a good singer though, and it's a good cover. It's tough to cover Dio. The best job I've seen is Blind Guardian doing "Don't Talk to Strangers". Their vocalist has some major power too, he does the song justice.

Wel if you compite with the greatnes of Ronnie James Dio, Ritchie Blackmore and Cozy Powell(best Rainbow line-up imo) you realy need a lot of great talent in your band to cover a song from these legendary Giants

Eh, it's O.K. It's kinda like when Helloween started out. Hansen was a fine vocalist, but Kiske kind of blew him out of the water. Same with Tolkki and Kotipelto. Tolkki isn't bad in this song, but Kotipelto would've done it a lot better, I think.

Tolkki was a good vocalist, I don't know if Kotipelto was really neccessary. Don't get me wrong, I love him, sometimes he gets a little repetative, but I still think he's amazing. With Tolkki, it allowed Strato's music to be slightly different, more speedy but slightly less melodic.

Yeah I actually did think it was Kotipelto singing this and was about to correct a bunch of people on here erroneously, but luckily decided to look it up and avoid looking like a fool. It almost sounds like Kotipelto's voice with poorer production quality. Their voices are pretty different, but I think this is the closest Tolkki comes to sounding like Kotipelto, much more so than on songs like Night Screamer, etc.

Are you sure about that? I haven't seen that anywhere, and I'm a huge fan of both Blind Guardian and Rainbow. I would love for this to be real, I can't seem to find anything on it though.
