What would Stravinsky do if he watched this video? Would he laugh? Would he cry? Would he turn it off? Would he play it again?

@Toughen Up, Fluffy Igor Stravinsky (1882 1971), who composed THE RITE OF SPRING, aka LE SACRE DU PRINTEMPS, for orchestra, a work on which this parody is based.

Stravinsky himself arranged it for 4-hand piano and performed the piece with Debussy in 1912

Fun is fun ...but . How can the melodica be taken seriously by other musicians if guys keep presenting songs or music with their dress antics. More melodica music without the gimmicks please.

If you want to see a full version of the song for 4 hands, check out Anderson And Roe. The did the entire Rite of Spring as a pia I duet and the music video is AMAZING!

Ah, a Stravinsky classic played by these two guys on Melodica. They really got the feel of the music, and the atmosphere in outfit and background down. Such talent here.

Actually video games brought me to Stavinsky, The Firebird. A lot of the old 80s video games used melodies from classical music. Some examples: 1. Ghosts & Goblins (C64) used Chopin: Prelude Op. 28 No. 20 in C Minor 2. Elite (C64) used Strauss: An der schoenen blauen Donau, Op. 314 (docking sequence, obviously borrowed from Kubrick's 2001...) 3. Dynamite Dan (C64) used Mozart: Rondo Alla Turca (Turkish march) 4. Super Pipeline (C64) used Debussy: Children's Corner, Movement No. 6, L. 113 Golliwogg's Cakewalk & Paganini: Caprice No. 24 in A minor for solo violin 5. A game about the time after the fall of the Soviet Union (can't remember the name) for Amiga used an intriguing music piece by Stravinsky: The Firebird, Infernal Dance

As a budding composer, I studied this work in and out of school... a true benchmark in the history of contemporary music -- one that elicited a riot at its premiere! This "arrangement' of it was sent to me by my editor and had me howling out loud -- truly-- what a GAS !! I loved it, and more than that I was amazed that they actually made it happen! (watch out PDQ BACH, Victor Borge, and all the rest !
Time for someone to dub this cover over Brett and Eddy dancing.
