…. I’ve been a subscriber for a while… this is not the Russian crawler … it’s really shown me that state of the art technologies are driving efficient farming much faster than New LGV’s in comparison. Driven by a genius like yourself In every field Absolutely Brilliant 😎👍🏼

Great Video George, I miss bailing - I can quite happily bail small bales for days on end. I agree that Barley dust is itchy as heck but it is nothing compared to oat dust, that's just plain evil.

I'd love to have seen the conventional baler baling. We had a Jones Baler (Blue version not red) and I just loved the sound it made. A sound of summer that I don't get to hear anymore.

Another great video George! Love the drone footage. If you had your choice of large square balers which would you choose, Krone or Claas? ta ta .
@colincampbell36794 жыл бұрын
Boy those Claas big square balers sure rock the tractor back & forwards as they ram the straw into a bale! I seen New Holland big square balers do a smooth run with no rocking of the tractors as they work? Must be down to how well the ramming system runs I guess? As you started to say about the Claas baler not being sealed up better to stop straw getting into the twine bays.. I just started to think the same thing! The center section where the straw is rammed should really be sealed up such that it works well and stops any straw getting into the rest of the machine but still have a easy access for cleaning and maintaining work! Not beyond them to do it better no dust or loose straw wasted then if it is a center sealed section for the baling work in the machine.

There is just something about barley dust that I don't like. Certainly no arguing that big square baler is more efficient than a round but I still much prefer bedding out with round bales in our straw chopper as they go out a lot smoother and break less shear bolts
@SlipShodBob4 жыл бұрын
Feels like it is getting ready to become stormy here (Kent) though it isn't supposed to rain until Saturday which knowing sods law will mean the straw we have from our neighbour will be cut Friday

Is it ok to feed barley bales to cows? To give them more to get the filled just in case hay is not enough?

Do you get any bother with that twine George? I'd hesston bales exploding last year with twine popping. Was going to fit stronger string on outside knotters. Why do you cut tails off of knots when you join them, did you do same with hesston?
@gregbailey27814 жыл бұрын
I think he cuts the ends too allow it to go through better when changing balls I do the same with my baler
@adamwatson63844 жыл бұрын
Thanks I'll try that, mine does sometimes stick on bottom tensioner that feeds needles.
