I’ve found for a little they do quite well, I’ve had a couple in setups similar with good success I also try not to put directly in water but has been doing well thank you so much for the comment!

Have you ever thought of documenting that it sounds very cool! What is your focus?

This was an aquarium shrimp kit from aqueon and it’s 7.5 gallons

Ensatinas are terrestrial and that’s why I build up the land area more than the water I have the water in both tanks for mainly humidity and the plants I like to keep ensatinas do not need a permanent water souse in the wild you are completely correct but as I watch in captivity they have been using it well and I have not seen many concerns since keeping them with the water I will do further research to make sure the water can not harm my ensatinas in any way. Another thing I should have mentioned in each vid is these tanks are very temporary as I work on my bigger scapes for my wonderful ensatinas.

⁠@@scorchinggoat9589I’d love to hear more about your experience with these guys, personally I do not see this as the case in this tank I would not keep something in a tank if I saw lasting negative effects but with this particular pair having water when they bred last and being happy and eating now I feel it’s going well
