For the first season of my Producing The Beatles podcast, I produced a re-recording of George Martin's score for three cellos and four trumpets for "Strawberry Fields Forever," following The Beatles' own percussion track to stay as faithful to the tempo and feel of the original as possible. It was apparently so faithful, in fact, that iTunes asked me to prove this wasn't a sample from the original recording. I call that success!
(NOTE: This is the key and tempo of the actual recording. For the final record, this was slowed down in order to edit with take 7, which was in approximately B-flat).
Apple has never released a complete isolated version of this recording so this is the only way to hear it complete and in stereo without the vocals or other overdubs.
