I saw a lot of comments about the fact that Izuku could hear his middle school teacher, and my reasoning for it is that Izukus hearing was damaged, but it gradually got worse. So he could barely understand him (but he was also standing nearby) but still understand him :) So Izuku is not technicay deaf, but hearing impaired/hard of hearing :)

I feel recognition just watching this. I was born deaf and I have been used to it ever since. So I want to say thanks for making this video because I feel recognized for my own disability and I’m sure all the other deaf people like me would appreciate a video like this as they deserve to be recognized for their own disability too (:

I'm honestly surprised that Deku didn't go deaf from Bakugou's bullying in the anime. Anyway, this video was great, and it really shows what the outcome could've been if Deku was deaf.

i have what deku has in this. its empowering seeing the entirety of the deaf community supporting eachother no matter if they were born with it, lost hearing due to old age, or due injuries/ect. in most cases this is reality, but i cant wait til its the reality of everything

I feel appreciated with this video, i feel shinsou, i am also selectively mute and i learnt sign language to communicate and taught my friends but over time they forgot and just stopped paying attention to me while i was mute. Shinsou makes me feel better about my disorder so thank you

I am someone who knows a bit of sign language, this is amazing. I've been learning sign language for a year or so now, so i could talk with deaf people!

As a deaf person with coxen 32 hearing loss (I'm specifically deaf in both ears) and I have Cholear implants! Love the fact you put in the work of making an accurate (not all the time) deaf au. I know some people can't get hearing aids, but as one who does have them its a choice!😊 (I can switch from deaf to hearing with a click of a button)

I love this so much because I was born blind but over time my sight regained and I love to see my favorite characters able to overcome obstacles like many of us have and I later found out I have an extremely rare form of albinism and am so grateful that I ended up so fortunate with my eyesight because I could have been blind forever if I was not so lucky

While it may be not all the sign language is correct, and im still learning, the "yes" is, sort of. To say "yes" in sign language, make a fist, and hold it up to shoulder level, and nod it asthough knocking. Also, my mom studied sign language and took classes on it in college, and for a few years was an interpreter. Back when i was a kid, my dad would take us all to church. There was a deaf couple there, and shed sign for them. I respect her, especially since at the time i was 4-5 through 8. Thats three or four years, and throw in that im the oldest of three, the youngest being clingy- huge props to my mom. My brother, middle child, is learning, and part of his homework(homeschooled so our kom assigns school work) is Lingvano, kind of the sign language version of Duolingo. My mom still actively uses it, sometimes signing along to songs, signing to my dad(mainly when we were younger. Adult convos in family rooms were signed lol), and occasionally when she speaks to us she signs the sentance, and will point out words in it. Also, my name, Lilyan, is uncommon, but only by spelling. My dad wanted to name me that, and my mom spelled it so when she waved at me from the car when dropping me off, it would look kind of like she signed "i love you", while saying my name at the same time. Im not actively learning, and a Lingvano subscription is expensive for two people, but im hoping to start learning again soon.

My mom lost most of her hearing in one ear due to a firework explosion, she was in a garage when a firework in the street was set off and the mortar went sideways and the firework ended up going into the garage she was in… these kinds of things can be really scary for the person involved and the people around them, I can only imagine how hard it would be. You did a really good job with this video, thank you for approaching the topic respectfully, one thing to note is that in my mother’s experience, the hearing wasn’t really the same with the hearing aid and she doesn’t like wearing them because of it. But thank you again, I actually really loved this video and how you portrayed this :) Me and my mom are going to try learning sign language as I have something similar to being selectively mute due to my autism and she can’t hear well in public places, I just don’t know where to find resources as we can’t afford courses 😅

My aunt was deaf so I'm very glad that deaf people are getting recognition! I've been learning sign since I met my aunt but don't have anywhere actual to learn it from so it's very slow going, but hopefully I'll get where I want to be with it soon! I'm also glad that disabilities in general are getting recognition, having an autistic brother and getting tested myself

There's another creator who whenever they have bakugo on screen you can see they put in the effort to give him hearing aids since his quirk made him go deaf! A really nice detail.
