Brian Setzer is an amazing musician. Playing the guitar that well - awesome. Singing at the same time - amazing. Jumping around like a loon at the same time? Impossible. But there he is doing it.

Yup, graduated HS in 1982 from Queens, NYC. The Stray Cats came from out on Long Island in the Town of Massapequa. They were the needed jolt of real 50’s style rockabilly after years of disco. New Wave was great but the virtuosity of Stetzer’s Gretch guitar reminded everyone where all this rock music came from. Even the Beatles admired Eddie Cochran!

Brian Setzer breathed new life into the Gretsch guitar scene back in the 80's. If Brian hadn't come into the spotlight, I'm thinking that Gretsch would've passed into the realm of, "Hey, do you remember..."

Absolutely, another player regularly rocking a Gretsch is Billy Duffy of The Cult. That sound just can't be duplicated.
