The gods in stray gods basically have immortality by transfering their souls from body to body. It's not always intentional transfers so they can end up in random bodies/unsuspecting bodies.

*Enby. Erika Ishii is non-binary, so is the "host" of Hermes' Eidolon (essentially godhood with most of the gods memories, which activate over time)

@@buff5158 ah alright, thanks for the explanation. Do the bodies they’re in die by age and then they have to transfer or are they immortal unless something kills the body, forcing the transfer?

@@the_well-known_stranger2275the latter, as far as the game has established. The current Persephone was the wife of a 20s mobster before she was nearly killed by her husband, but the previous Persephone sacrificed herself to save her and transferred over her eidolon. By that estimate I would guess immortality until forced end.
