I'm of the opinion that "freelance" paparazzi shouldn't be allowed anywhere near events like these. That organisers of industry events with red carpet photos should hire selected event photographers for this purpose. People who will be professional, respectful and held accountable if they aren't. I doubt that celebrity events organisers will adopt that suggestion or any other (like banning these particular photographers) because of a flood of emails expressing our disgust. Unfortunately, a very large number of people think all K-pop fans are screaming, crying, emotional 12 year old girls. (If that were true, I'm not far off turning 12 for the 4th time).

@bellarose-au I think it wether or not it would do any good depends on how much attention it me viewers Stray Kids brought to the event. I personally would not have even known the Met Gala was happening if they weren't going and I saw a Stat that views went up significantly when Stray Kids arrived and last time I checked they were in the lead for best dressed at the even on the Vogue website and you know that's all Stay, hell I voted and I couldn't care less about fashion. My point is that Stray Kids has the potential to grab a whole new and huge spectator base for the event so maybe they would listen just to keep that group happy and possibly coming back. These events are only as relevant as the public makes them and they should care more about a potential huge new fan base than a couple of paparazzi that are replaceable. But that's just my thought I'm not an event planner or anything but I definitely think it's not cool to release personal information and the paparazzi, they were wrong and seems like not good people but they don't deserve to be harmed in any way. Also if 12 is the average age I also don't fit that demographic I'll be 50 in July.

Which is why guests are predominantly from the American movie industry and, to a much lesser extent, American music industry. Essentially, those who wear costumes. I don't doubt Stray Kids attending brought a new demographic knowledge of the Met Gala, and new viewers to the red carpet parade. I do doubt that those numbers are significant enough for organisers to change their policies on which paparazzi and other freelancers can photograph and report on the celebrities walking the red carpet. Will Stray Kids attending the Met Gala introduce them to a potential new fan base and open new possibilities for them? Yes, I think it will - if the entertainment industry in the English-speaking world can get past the paparazzi comments and, worse, if the entertainment industry in the English-speaking world can get past the obsessive possessiveness of some fans and how their retaliation against these paparazzi plays out. This isn't the first time K-pop fans have gone way overboard in "defence" or "support" of their favourite idol(s). It isn't the first time Stray Kids fans have gone too far (it's not even the first time in the last 12 months that some elements of Stay have gone too far). You say the paparazzi are replaceable, but so are celebrities. All of them, not just Stray Kids. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Stray Kids, but I am ashamed of the element of fans who think it's okay to put the group's careers (as a whole and individually) in jeopardy over the actions of some fans. What these Stays have done is illegal. I don't mean sharing the names and public socials accounts. I'm talking about hacking into the paparazzi's website and socials pages, making threats - especially those de.ath threats, and publishing the home address of one nasty, racist man. Do you know who else lives at that address and is now potentially in danger? I don't, but they don't deserve repercussions or too be scared for their lives for something they had nothing to do with. Those actions are illegal. How do you think that reflects on our guys in the eyes of the rest of the world (those who don't follow K-pop)? Those potential new fans they might have picked up from this amazing opportunity they had. If the guys want to break through into the American, European or Australian entertainment industries the actions of Stays in times like this reflects poorly on them. If our guys have to, once again, apologise for the behaviour of their fans, how do you think that makes them feel? Look at how fans of international artists behave. Those artists don't put up with badly behaved fans, they shut it down and their fans listen. Just like our Chris tried to do except he was ignored. Again. I know very well that the average Stray Kids fan, the average K-pop fan for that matter, is not a pre-teen or a screaming young girl, but that is the perception of the vast majority who don't follow K-pop. It is perpetuated by the juvenile behaviour of some fans who hate on idols that dare to perform with members of the opposite gender, who even hint at wanting a personal life, or a relationship. Mind you, Taylor Swift fans are in much the same boat, being stereotyped by those who aren't fans of hers.

I'm pretty sure that I actually said that I did not agree with them publishing this man's personal information because I don't, and I don't agree with anyone making physical threats to anyone. I don't have a big problem with the hacking of his account if all they did was put Hashtag apologize to stay kids on it but I recognize that it is a crime and believe they should deal with the consequences if caught just like the paparazzi will have to deal with the consequences of his actions. I hear you about the celebrities being replaceable really all people are in things like this but it's much easier to replace an obnoxious paparazzi than to ignore a huge fan base and also if you replace him you put yourself on the fan bases good side and I'm not saying that they need Stay too like them I'm saying if they are weighing which thing is easier and better for overall PR then getting rid of the paparazzi is probably an easy and much more PR savy thing to do. I agree with you that the crazy fans are a problem but I disagree that this is mostly a kpop issue. Doja Cat even had issues with her fan base being overly protective and had to call them out. I think this is more of a social media construct. I was trying to suggest a legal and appropriate way to deal with their concerns by saying to address the Met Gala and ask them to not invite this guy back. People are going to want to express their concerns somehow and with this guys employer (unless he is a self employed paparazzi that just sells him images and with the venue that gave him the opportunity to take said pictures would be the proper place to complain is all I was saying.

Guys please, as fans, this isn't something we should take into our own hands. Please please please follow skz's lead and behave gracefully. Please don't lower yourself to harassing people over the internet or in real life. Things like that can only attract negative attention to skz and none of us want that for them. Obviously they deserve an apology but forcing one out of someone is never the way to go and I don't feel like they would want such an insincere apology either.

'Crazy fandom' . . .The thing is we are millions of fans around the world with access to the Internet, and among them several teenagers and even younger people, so it's ovbious some ppl made some out-of-place comments. Like, those men weren't just simple mocking them, but being racists. Then other celebs there made the same expressions as them, but SKZ was told they were 'the worst thing they've ever seen', and they are adult men who dont live in a cave, the must be professionals and keep in mind that they are among celebrities who are loved by a lot of ppl, and making those racist comments in camera on a very important event...Like, even non Stays koreans were really angry and korea news talked about this issue, this is not about Stays and 'what Chan would like'.
