A beautiful song written by BangChan and Felix recognising the absolute devastation of the bushfires that raged for over 6 months killing nearly 3 billion wildlife decimating the koala population to the point that it is thought by 2050 they will be extinct in the eastern states.

The fires did affect many indirectly. My Dad who was a chronic asthmatic died in November of 2019 after being exposed to the smoke from the fires. We tried again and again to warn him to stay inside, but the smoke was everywhere. This song means even more to me because of what l and many Australians lost that Summer.

I also noticed that it could be turned into a song about losing a loved one, and that made me cry more when I watched it again 🥹 fnf is one of my favorite songs on 5 star because of the meaning and I love the tropical house/dance pop sound (similar to DLC, its one of my favorite genres). thank you as always for your reactions!

You we're correct when talking about the fires from 2019-2020 they impacted us all majorly, not being able to leave the house because of the smoke and having to be prepared for the worst to happen at any given time and so many losing so much. As an Aussie stay I will forever hold this song close to my heart. I love your reactions DG, I'm always excited to see your content

It’s such a conflicting song, wonderful summer song but the lyrics are so poignant. I feel sad and happy at the same time and the polaroid fading to black at the end just made me cry. The MV is beautifully shot. Great reaction as always 🖤🖤

I’m just found your channel DG and I love how much thought you put into your reactions! Giving the artists the attention they deserve! With this song, I feel like it is about the Australian wildfire, but the lyrics also make me feel like it uses the event as an analogy for a past relationship that they miss as well, like you pointed out. When I compare to their song Ex, it has a similar vibe. The imagery in the lyrics is so beautiful; awesome job by Bangchan and Felix.

Not my favorite song tbh, but it's SOO meaningful! I'm Brazilian so this song really speaks to me too. At that time there was terrible wildfires here too, in different places but mostly Amazonia. I live far way from the florest (like California to New York far) but I still remember clearly the day when the smoke created by the fires reach the city that I live, it was midday but the sky was dark and cloudy, it was just terrible I don't think I can describe the feeling very well, but this song... This song can. Bang Chan is ver vocal about how much he loves the ocean and nature so I can only imagine the pain of watching such a tragedy from afar and ot being able to do anything about it 😢 Anyway loved the reaction as always S2
