I listened attentively to this interview from Stephen Francis. I have been following this man for a long time, since I was living in Jamaica and presently. Leaving the MVP club is Elaine’s lost. As I said before she is ungrateful and she believes that she reached as we say in Jamaica. This man had all the best intentions for her career and she blew it. Keep up the great work Stephen Francis and I am looking for great performances from your athletes at the World Championships.

Great interview. I can see the pieces being put together where Elaine is concern. It is such a pity that sometimes people will come into our lives and we dont recognize them for who they really are. Mr. Fancis came into her life to make her life better, which he did. But the other person need to recognize that and supports her and her coach. Not to interrupt what is working. Jealousy, envy and not knowing his/her position in whatever situation can cause destruction. I wish her well and hope she recognizes her fault and correct it before it is too late. The enemy comes in many different forms to kill steal and destroy..

I agree with the younger brother. We look down on certain professional. We need doctors and lawyers the same way that we need carpenters, masons, plumbers and electricians, taylors, dress makers, not to mention the farmers, who without any doubt is the most important profession. Without farmers, we are all worm food. Let's appreciate every profession that adds positive value to our society. Maybe our men would be doing better if society didn't allow them to feel like failures because they didn't go to university. Most of the furnitures sold in Jamaica is imported. Suppose we were able to locally produce most of the furniture that we need?

I am heartened that Franno speaks so highly of Elaine. I think deep down in his soul, he still loves that girl, like if she was his daughter. He has let slip what I’ve always believed, and that is the terrible effect that her husband has had on her, and specifically the relationship between her and Franno. I wish they would but all the negativity behind them, embrace each other, and resume their relationship. Wishful thinking? No.

I have this to say this man is not arrogant he does'nt think of himself as special or great he's a person who is so attuned to his work that he does'nt like to be sidetract he like's to try new thing's, different thing's to improve on the athlete's listening to him it's easy to see the brilliance in him he's alway's thinking, whenever he talk's about his athlete's you can see the dedication, concerning Elaine you can feel the good difference in his voice and even though he's very good at masking his facial expression he really love and respect her and that is why many a time's the media say or report thing's that are not really the truth but listening to this man mr Steven Francis i have no doubt that he speak's the truth, Elaine is a great athlete and obviously she did something that was very wrong and whatever it was she's hiding something or shielding someone and some bad attitude was directed to mr Francis and obviously no apology was made and remember he is human and can be hurt but the respect is still there for Elaine, this is my two cent's. Respect mr Steven Francis (FRANO) you're the greatest.

How did you arrived at Jamaicans not appreciating Mr Francis as the greatest coach ever? I am Jamaican and my acknowledgement of Mr Francis as the greatest sprint coach of all time far exceeds a decade. Matter of fact, almost everyone who I Know and talks with who's knowledge about Track and Field knows that Mr Francis is incomparable to other coaches, because he is cleary into a league all by himself. The problem with some Jamaicans it seems, yourself included, is that once the media does not honour someone, there are persons who thinks that the entire country is on the same boat. Hell no, that not how it is, the media doesnt represents all usl, we are well able to independently, acknowledge, admire, respect and honour our own without its imput. Asafa Powell disrespected the entire Jamaica for the same, thinking that because athletes are not given the type of respect due to them by the media, then the entire Jamaica should be blamed. The media may well not play its role in giving Mr Francis his flowers, but those of us who loves the sport appreciates him and acknowledges him as the greatest to have ever set foot upon this planet.

Wow, what an absolutely inspirational man. The two of we are very similar in that we are perfectionists who aren’t afraid to go against the grain and do everything our way, as well as research EVERYTHING! It’s rare I encounter others who feel the same as myself here, as, most go out of their way to fit in with societal norms/expectations, while I think of ways I can do things “better”, or simply, “my way”. I especially love that he said his favorite type of athlete is Elaine, who does everything he says! It says a lot to me he didn’t say Shelly, with all her successes, and also he choose Elaine, despite all the drama with folks in the public. Excellent!

This is very inspiring. It has exposed how myopic and small-minded most people are. I admire Franno’s relentless pursuit of success at the highest level. This is the true epitome of believing in the “goods” that one produces! It's rather clear to me that Franno is our national treasure and he should be treated as such, but clearly, when one doesn't walk the conventional path and achieved success it is generally not accepted sometimes for it destroys the idea of normal behavior and gives birth to unconventional paths
