Agreed.. Akuma not being a glass cannon doesn’t make much sense. Having said that, they weren’t playing with the final build so we will have to wait and see.

@@heretickishyt I don’t even own the game lol… I usually always wait for Akuma to be dropped before I get into a SF title. It puts me a year behind in the learning curve but he’s always my main. Capcom nailed it with the trailer - I simply hope the character lives up to the hype. Hasn’t let me down yet. 🤞

They basically nerfed this man before he releases

His low damage has been a direction a while now. SF5 for example doing a demon rage was pointless, you could get way more damage from a few combos into his critical art. I think the idea at this point of the "canon" part to glass canon is having lots of tools. I think they are substituting the more damage than others with him having more tools than others. Lets see how this pans out and if it feels balanced when we get to learn him.

Yea that’s what I thought. I also talk about that in my initial breakdown of the trailer. It looks like a lot of stuff from 5 is gonna be back in some way shape or form. His v skills, and even some moves from his vtriggers make an appearance. His kiai, rakan, were some of the things I noticed

I mean it would make sense for him to hit way harder than marissa she can 4-5 touch with basic combos at least akuma requires high input execution so he should get high damage due to his skill ceiling

@@brandonspringfield2861so does that mean kimberly and aki should hit harder than marisa toi cobsidering their combos are difficult compared to the others? nah. your logic is basically: tekken 7 akuma is fine since the execution needed to do a desth combo is extremelly high. execution and combos are the flashiest parts of fighting games, but they aren't the main focus. that being said akuma has a fireball, a 3 hit regular fireball which no one else has, he will win 100% of fireball wars. he also has a command dash with a throw, a command jump that can go fullscreen, a divekick, a reliable anti air, an invicible reversal, one of the highest damaging supers in the game with the raging demon. akuma does not need high damage like marisa luke or dee jay. if you give him ryu damage he's fine and thats probably what it will be considering i've heard tokido say he hits hard.

Yeah Akuma was always a glass cannon, at least since SF3 (idk about ST and Alpha series though). And I'm glad they made Raging Demon separate from his CA because if they made it his CA and changed the input, it would be very controversial.

I agree, I think giving him both gives him more options to end matches. Whether it’s a surprise raging demon or doing a combo into his CA, It makes him a lot scarier knowing that he has essentially two different CA’s and one slip up can end a whole match

Everevie says the same things in the thread and I do agree. For some, it will very much be that kind of situation. However, for Akuma mains, for example Tokido, in the right hands, Akuma could absolutely do some damage.

If the leak is to be believed, you will have your wish w/ Bison. I don’t believe it revealed the order of release but Bison was one of ‘em.

Rashid and Ed had absolutely amazing glow ups in sf6 and Aki is definitely an improvement over fang. While she still needs more time in the kitchen season one finishing off with akuma is just the cherry on top

Dudley is awesome, Makoto is boring and Viper is just for thirsting individuals. You got Cammys' ass already, enough. And you got Juris feet, no need for more feet. Bison is the most boring character in the history of the game, so played out I hope he is actually dead. Dudley is the only good pick from your list. But we already got a boxer for now, and a fricken awesome one at that too. Also, you do realise they will be releasing new characters as well right? But honestly, all the Makoto fanboying is getting annoying at this point. Game launched with an awesome 22 season 1 character roster, portraying even the classics (which sure they could of dropped Gief, Blanka, Sim and Honda easilly imo, but in this way we at least see them in the new engine and get all the classics out of the way from the beginning) and every character in the best version of themselves thus far, and you are disappointed because a few skanks are not in the game yet...

C.Viper had a very unique play style that brought something new to SF4 her knuckle cancel and cross up flame wheel kick was very unique to that game seeing that in SF6 would be a sight to behold especially in high level play. Another thing I never hear anyone say Bison is boring. Some people might agree with you but very little have I heard that. He’s another unique character.

@@OP10thNakama While your right they aren’t the same as SF5 I just feel as though we just had those characters for 7yrs and they just sold them to us again so soon instead of mixing them up, such as one third strike character and then Ed or Rashid but they literally just said here SF5 again. That’s my only problem.
