Talking about parries at the beginning like perfect parry in SF6 is easier to do than a 3S parry. Frame data wise, it's a much smaller window.

It actually is easier to do cause the risk for going for perfect parry is very low if you know when to do it. Especially in the previous patch when the whiff recovery of parry was shorter

My point was that a perfect parry in SF6 (the only parry that changes frame data) is a 2 frame window which is much smaller than a parry in 3S (between 6-10 frames) where every parry changes frame data. LTG fundamentally does not understand the differences between the two parry systems and is just talking out of his ass.

Obviously if you just perfect parry buttons in neutral you’d be a god but that’s not how people use it. Do you think wake up perfect parry takes skill? Not really, it’s more of a guess and just by tapping parry you get perfect parry some times, you can’t really do that with a 3S parry

There's no risk to parrying in that game either, but it has a boatload of option selects on top of an easy to perform and dominant parry mechanic that protects against throws. In addition if you do get the parry which has a more lenient window, you now have a frame advantage and get an unscaled punish. SF6 perfect parry is completely fine as it is and it's nowhere near as game defining or breaking in some cases as 3S. Also I'd like to add that tapping parry on wakeup is indeed a strategy in 3S, and it's very worth it do go for it especially against characters like Twelve that can't contest your damage output.

But at 14:07 it looks like Gief's level 2 is death on block, and combined with LTG having 3 bars of super, why could he not have just ended the round, and therefore the game, there? Again I don't actually have SF6 so that level 2 could be safer than I'm giving it credit for.
