Battlehub and avatars changes can be made with very little impact on the core gameplay, so they can go ham on those. Balancing, stages, and costumes on the main characters have implications they have to take into consideration.

Why do people keep saying this? They've made it clear how often they'd change the main game already. DLC characters and a big balance patch once every year. Skins will also show up once or twice per year for the main game. Why are people so salty they're also paying attention to the other side of the game?

Single people can make them from scratch using modding tools (which are always way worse than in house.) make high quality mods from the iteration and modeling phase from scratch in literally a week and change. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say it takes like 2 people a month to make a single skin. This pacing still doesn't't make any sense. Not to mention that other modders have been using the avatar costume assets literally as just modding skin assets because they're already fully made and with a few property edits have the same level of physics and quality as the baked in skin models. (Not to mention avatar costumes are slightly more complicated because they are modular and have to be scewable and have multiple body types.) They're literally either: Have a wack internal timeline on how they're releasing the skins Or have the majority of their modelers that aren't working on dlc working on avatar costumes. Which looking at the event cadence they might honestly be overwhelmed by the amount of avatar costumes they have to bang out due to contractual obligations. No hate to the actual devs but this skin cadence and the lack of literally any event character skins is wack as fuck.

The price of Outfit 3 and the lack of bundles is garbage the costumes itself was of pristine quality.

@@HalcyonEX The DLC characters are always preceeded by a 20 Day Fighting Pass. Rashid Arrives, A.K.I. arrives, Ed arrives. This Fighting Pass is going until around the 20th. Meaning the "Akuma arrives" Fighting Pass wont be until May, which means Akuma at the earliest is coming at the end of may now.

There's already a big limitation for avatars which is the attack motion type, you can't have 2 moves that share the same motion, even if the attack button Is different (An example Is, you can't have both Shoryuken and Ken's Dragonlash Kick since both share the shoryu/dp/z motion, even if one uses punch and the other kick buttons)

@@TheDevilDucker yeah i know, that’s why if avatars could be used in casual matches then specials should stick to whatever fighting style the avatar is using and not a combination of many so they’re viable in casual matches; separate from avatar battles where you can go crazy with your avatar.
