Where most find Hugo a pain a play, this game YSB takes that pain and makes it his strength. *It seems as though he goes out of his way to find danger in order to find his way out of it.*

Hayao and YSB are about equal. Hayao is defensive and waits for one chance to hit back hard; YSB is a parry master, reads opponents well and attacks a lot. YSB often does better against other very high-tier players because he's less predictable.

Remember Remember The Fifth of November I love FAB but to be honest I think FAB has the edge just because of how Potemkin works and not necessarily because FAB is better than YSB, Potemkin just has way more tools at his disposal since Guilty Gear is an Anime Fighter

I would venture to say Kuroda's Hugo is better. Even with Hugo not being his main, his understanding of the game and timing is unmatched.

Despite Necro's Zoning Normals (Like St. HP, Cr. MK, St. HK) he actually kinda loses if the Hugo knows they could just Parry it into EX Lariat and regain Advantage. Plus even otherwise, Hugo's Normals out-pioritize Necro's most of the time. SA1 is simply better because of Hugo's High Stun, meaning it's difficult to stun Hugo like other characters. ANYTHING to keep him out.
