I love how Mega Man's helmet design is so authentic to the original bad box art, they even got the smallest detail of his stripe being crooked. It's just so beautiful. :')

Even now, despite Capcom dealing-out disappointments left and right, I can't help but be charmed by this Mega Man's personality and voice. He just...sounds like a very down-on-his-luck guy who needs a break, haha. It's adorable in a sad way.

It's one piece of a larger puzzle. Mega Man had been relegated to chump status for years within Capcom. Then just when they teased a revival with several high-profile games, they cancel all the projects and produce this mockery. This was kicking Mega Man while he was down, and Capcom were the ones who put him on his ass in the first place. When for a 3+ year span it can be said truthfully that Bad Box Art Mega Man has had more love from Capcom than the true Blue Bomber...then ya, that makes me pretty pissed. And I'm not the only one.

fvn g The thing I thought was the best, is something so subtle. On the original Boxart megaman's yellow 'fin' on the top of his head was off alignment and uncentered. They even got that detail down in this model, XD.

Okay, while the appearance of Bad Boxart Mega Man was pretty weird, I'd find it hard to imagine the cartoony/anime Mega Man to fit any better in the game's atmosphere, since Street Fighter and Tekken characters have more realistic designs than he does. Even Pac-Man feels real weird here since he's so cartoony and.... disturbing. I do not know what the hell is with Mega Man's voice though.

+Fozzy FUCT AND Keji Inafune himself approved this design for the game (even if he doesn't work for Capcom anymore). They were originally going to use Plain-Old Rockman but when they approached Inafune with the idea his response was: "No, we've already seen Rockman in fighting games before. Let's do something different".

I bet he did this to make up for Mega Man Universe being cancelled. And Capcom gave him Volnutt's backstory as a way to make up for cancelling Mega Man Legends 3, which was a big mistake. Good thing Capcom allowed the Mega Man we know and love to be in Smash 4.

gr8gmr Knowing he has no love for Capcom it was probably kicking them while they're down. I get the joke, it's just not funny considering how long fans have waited for a real Megaman game. Heck if I could stop Capcom from going under in some way other than blowing my money on the 15th version of SFIV I would, but I won't because their games suck now. They have a long history of shitting on their developers, so it's not like some new title is going to save them.
