Жыл бұрынIn today's World Cup 2022 vlog we head to the famous area of Lusail to see what they have going on with one day before the 2022 Qatar World Cup gets started. We see fans from all over the Middle East and we even run in to a few fan parades...

We have seen a lot of talk online of "fake fans" here in Qatar. We aren't sure what to think regarding this issue. The fan parades looked really cool but they did seem a tad suspicious. They didn't seem as spontaneous as I would think a random fan parade would be- but I have no real data or information to support that feeling. I think from what we have seen and experienced thus far, everything outside of the fan parades feels pretty authentic. In this video we saw a lot of families supporting teams from all over the Middle East and there was nothing about that experience that seemed to scream "fake fans". This video is simply our experience in Lusail last night.

Beer is probibited only at the stadiums in qatar. But you can buy outside the stadiums.

WHY R U SO HATEFUL????? There’s no need to say “Muslims are not terrorists” nobody says that. You’re trying to demonise non muslims and make out that we are hateful. There are 1.3 billion Muslim in the world it’s obviously just a small number who are terrorists Oh and NO. Muslims are not friendly and respectful people. Some are, some aren’t. My best friend used to live an a very expensive apartment and it was full of rich Arabs student. There was a communal room and we’d say hello and be polite but they would just ignore us and be rude. Not friendly and VERY unsociable HOWEVER if also had a Saudi friend who was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. So u can’t just stereotype people like that. Everyone’s different

Am Sudanese 🇸🇩 and i have lived my whole life in Qatar 🇶🇦 Lusail and Corniche aren’t the places to go to for food ! There’s lots of other options Souq Waqif, the malls and also places where you can have some traditional foods during the World Cup they’ve belt these huge food outdoor yard areas with plenty of options ! It feels so great to see Qatar with so many guests from all over the world !

@Null Pointer Fans have some options for buying alcohol in different locations, but perhaps people can learn to respect the cultures and traditions of those in other countries. Alcohol isn't essential for football or having a good time. Plus, millions of people in sporting venues mixed with lots of alcohol often leads to rowdy behavior, fights, safety issues, etc. Unfortunately, not everyone controls themselves and it's up to the authorities to make sure everyone is safe.

In Arab countries, you cannot find beer, because it is haram in Islam (we are full of activity without it 🙂), but despite that it is still available in the club for foreigners, please respect our religion and culture, welcome❤️

As a Muslim community, we are proud that we do not sell alcohol in public markets because it destroys the human mind and makes it mindless even for whiles , Brain is the wonderful gift that God gifted us out for and distinguished us with our minds from all other beings. You were in the city center day 1 which is a business area, not really a walking spot. Lusail has been like this nightly and some parades are planned, if you follow the local news pages you can find out when they start. It's different than American culture, so don't expect the same things ie concession stands. Food is indoors in those buildings you passed. Unless you're in the souk, you can get traditional food from ladies who cook it themselves. They sit on the ground with big pots of food. Or in MIA park there are food stalls but it's different than what we have because people tend to like to hang out inside malls, hotels, pool clubs, and generally indoors there. Even at their nightly food spots (their smorgasburg), people will drive up and order food then eat in their cars. Make sure to try some harees and chai karak while there. Enjoy!

@@seb1554 you data is based on 2021’s survey. Qatar has converted/built so much more rooms since 2021 till now. And there is always the option of staying in Saudi or Bahrain or Kuwait and then travel to Qatar on the match day. And yes, it’s priced high, so is the case with ANY country which hosted FIFA in the past.

To clarify the beer issue, its prohibited for Muslims to drink, sell or transport alcohols that are used for drinking. That's why you don't find it common . Oh, also you won't find pork

Although Doha seems more liberal than I imagined, I’m not surprised about the no beer situation considering the dominant religion is Islam and alcohol is a big no no in Islamic beliefs and traditions. Go to restaurants, clubs and pubs inside hotels where alcohol is easily available and supposedly also in couple of fan zones. But public drinking is not allowed

There are only selected Qatar areas where they serve beers & liquors in selected hotels, lounges and inside selected World Cup stadiums. Alcohol is only allowed during the World Cup event. There are plenty of healthy food, healthy drinks, and lot of celebrations, and all type of private and public parties. Also, your hotel concierge can give you a list of places where you can buy alcohols. Also the taxi/Uber drivers have such info as well.

There is a fan zone close to your area located in Qatifan island. They have beer there. Also there are beers by the 4 towers somewhere there

Muslims dont drink beer etc.. and a country cant change its religion for non muslims for just 30 days .. we also take care of other laws when we go to their countries

In islam, alcohol is forbidden. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah has cursed wine, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, the one who conveys it, and the one to whom it is conveyed. That’s why you won’t find any alcohol only if it is somebody who sneaked it. Also nobody will tell you where beer is if there is any as the prophet mentioned in the Hadith.

Brazil, Argentina have huge fan following in Kerala (Sothern India).There are villages who hoist flags of both countries and are ardent fans during this season. People from west think they are paid actors and its just hurts.

Exactly what I am hearing all the time ....people are die hard fan of football...approx 80% of my friends are into football.... I sometime made joke by saying Ronaldo as Rolando 🤣 ...they get extremely angry and even told me that they will slap me if I do it again and again 😀...so i stopped ...
