Street Photography Ep2 (Sigma 30mm & 56mm 1.4, Sony A6600)

In this video I head out to shoot some street photography with the Sigma 30mm 1.4 & Sigma 56mm 1.4 lens, on my Sony A6600.
I did take the 16mm too, but in all honesty, got fed up swapping lenses so most of the shots are on the 30mm.
For this reason I have just purchased the new Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 Zoom Lens which I think will be a perfect walk-around lens for situations like this. Stay tuned for plenty of example videos on the way featuring that lens ✌🏼.

I hate switching lenses. I use the 18-200 a lot because of this. But there is nothing like a nice prime.

I think for street photography 56mm seems like the sweet spot the 30mm seems a little too wide right?

I do love the 56mm but there are some occasions when I just want the convenience of a zoom - that’s why I just bought the new 18-50 😎

There’s nothing to stop your shooting landscapes, although remember it’s a 45mm full frame equivalent which some would argue isn’t wide enough. I’d suggest checking out the 18-50mm 2.8.

Is sigma 30mm 1.4 is best for portrait & wedding with a6400

For wedding I have sigma 16, 30, 56 mm f1.4+ viltrox 23 f 1.4 and a6600. If you want to shoot wedding with one lens then it's usually 23 or 30mm (35 or 50mm ff). I would suggest to buy second body and buy to lenses such as viltrox 23 and sigma 56. But yes you can shoot wedding with only 30mm. Search in youtube shooting wedding with one lens. There are some videos about 35 and 50 mm in ff equivalent.

For portrait I would get 56 but it's too long for indoor or wide shoots. 30mm will be better choice. Don't shoot headshots.
