For the second straight year, NASCAR's Chicago Street Race was hampered by rain. If NASCAR's able to get this race off without weather interruptions, is there any chance it could be one of the biggest events of the season? After two years proving NASCAR can race on streets, does this open the door to have events in other major markets like Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Denver?
NASCAR's street race has shown to be a proof of concept. Huge crowds gathered around the Chicago track and it had such a "cool factor" that is unprecedented. Doug Rice says this is an opportunity for NASCAR to go "where the people are" instead of asking new fans to drive an hour outside the city to the nearest speedway. #NASCAR
