I just had to stop watching for a minute to say what a fansatic job you did on every little detail,Me myself growing up in Brooklyn NY back in the 60's,this has brought back memories just watching this video,from the details of corner sewage drains to the pull down fire escapes I really can't believe the job you have done, not to mention PATIENTS, this most definatly motivates me to do a much better job on my own layout,So let me say Thank You for the memories,and inspiration to do better,PEACE

I had Diesel engine trains going up and down tioga street up until the mid 1980’s ... I could remember as a kid they would be parked right down the middle of tioga street with cars disconnected at every intersection so traffic could go through the neighborhood and the bell would ring a flare was placed at every intersection along with a railroad employee, the engine would back up coupling all the box cars or tankers , then the gates went down on aramingo ave , and this train that stretched 5 city blocks would drive right through a heavy populated section right down tioga street to Trenton ave overpass and up the hill to that spur line that would eventually put them on the northeast corridor line which we always called the main line.

LOL. I can't believe I came across this. My brother bought me a 2011 model railroading calendar at the hobby shop, and this layout was on the cover. I knew it was detailed, but I had no idea how expansive it was.. Awesome :)

WHY IS THERE NO SEPERATION BETWEEN THE TRAIN TRACKS AND THE CITY ??? SEEMS UNREALISITIC

Thanks for the tip. Yeah I'm thinking of maybe next year build a layout with my dad in our basement and I was planning on having it set in a city, where as some of the tracks would need to go through some of the streets, some crossings, etc.

Yes, that is real water--the entire background is a Green Screen, then they fill it in electronically with a real background. John Jr. Green Frog Productions, Ltd.

Typically you would pour some kind of modeling plaster around the tracks, then color or paint the plaster, as well as some carving and trimming! John Green Frog Prod.

love the MOPAC I have three so fare I have a U28B, a U30C and a sd-40 and one BNSF just got started like 6months a go on building a layout this is one alsome layout this is alsome I want to come see
