Lot's of microwave ovens on the scrap piles today, Turned out a good day, late Sunday afternoon.
I started to run out of energy and called it a day but got a nice assortment of e-waste to scrap and steel to send to the scrap yard.
Keep scrapping and look out for more street scrap video's to come.
Scrapping tools, safety gear, metal melting furnaces, crucibles and ingot moulds that I use or recommend.. www.amazon.com/shop/ewasteben

I love watching these and I find them fascinating. Here in America, this just isn't possible. We do not have a "hard rubbish season" . It is actually fairly difficult to get rid of large/heavy trash. Generally you have to pay someone to haul it away or take it somewhere and pay to have it dumped. Either that, or just pile it up somewhere in your home for rent. That's what most people do.

In Finland there are 'open to everyone' collection points for metal scrap meaning that it's so cheap it's not viable to collect for scrapping. Excluding valuables like copper and pure aluminium. You would be lucky to get 20€ for a ton of pure steel scrap, cars going for trashing filled with sorted metal like iron and steel are just collected free in couple of days. Public garbage dumps have good and clear areas where different sort of wood/electronic/hazardous waste/construction waste can be dropped off and you pay by weight. They weight your car when you arrive and same when you leave and pay how much you dropped off, no matter what the waste is. But you cannot take anything away meaning that you cant just go and pickup good electronics and leave. Stores selling household appliences are mandated to accept trash household appliences. End result is high recycling ratio and not much left for individual scrapper. Pretty much only methods of acquiring good scrap are broken appliences through wourd of mouth or friends and family noticing some electronic trash left somewhere where it's not supposed to be left and to be quick to collect it. Yeah, it's good for the enviroment but that doesn't mean i have to like it :D

Frick hell, nice to see the thrill of the hunt. Over in Illinois we have garbage day. So every day a part of town or the county side are being picked up. I try to hunt about every 2 days. It keeps me busy getting all the cove off the copper wore. I've never found the size wire you find. Most of mine are 12-14 & 16 gauge wire. so I got a small adjustable wore striper that I use to get to the bare copper. I have over 100 lbs (US) and looking forward to making 5 pound bars.WOOOOOOOT!!

On the last episode, you found a tan colored motor on top of a pole with wobbly pulley, I think it might make a good bench grinder? I thought I saw the base to it, laying on the ground as you picked it up & took it to your van. at 6:28 of this video, drill bits & files are all made of hardened steel! Great for many things! I wouldn't scrap hardened steel!!! in the 1700's & 1800's saw's & nails weren't readily available as they are these days! If there was an apolcolips, hardened steel would be very valuable!!! you find great scores!!!

Was that gold heater toward the end plated or flashed, 😜 Haha. I was really happy for the type of response that you gave me on the previous vid. The only additional thing that I can think of to keep viewer on their toes and watch, is to take a 5 minute brake at any time in the vid to scrap it out. So they don't skip strait to the end every time. Maybe just have a random shot of you at the work bench scrapping out to see the CPU, then let them know before you do that. That you'd be back to street scrapping, after you do it. Unless another youtubers reads this and steals the idea, I'd imagine you'd be the 1st to do something like this. GREAT VIDEO BEN! THAT'S A LOT OF MICROWAVES!!!! The pink bike is not your type, lol!!

You cut a 25c cord off a collectible radio worth $25 on ebay. You missed all those files, about $12 each, the rust abrades away with use, but you can clean the files easily if you have that much objection to rust. About $61 lost. At 31:33, that reel-to-reel tape deck is a collectible now and worth money on ebay. Put a new cord on it and sell it either working if it does or not working, you'd get $55 or $25 (working, not working).

Selling things on ebay requires shipping stuff out. Not worth the time involved. Remember, he's got tons of stuff back home, his real bottleneck is how much time he needs to devote to clean up the stuff.
