I wish I could follow you around. They have some nice furniture and dishes, decor that I would set up a place where people that needed it could come and get it or if I could sell it reasonable.

Not a bad day Poly! Once you get that 1st trailer, you'll be scrapping everything! IDK why you didn't get the motors out of the washers & microwaves or the other things you get now. Were you not aware of that back then? I still don't know why you never take the motors or engines out of mowers. Anyways great video 👍👍👍👍 As always, I love your videos Poly! ❤❤❤❤❤ May God Bless you and yours ALWAYS! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Yes I hadn’t learnt how to take motors out easily at this stage 😅

Cords should be left for the people to take the electrical items
@PolyProphet2 жыл бұрын
I disagree. They had their chance to do that. I arrive the morning of the truck picking up. Better to save something rather than let it all go to landfill, true? Thanks for supporting the channel David 🤙🤙

Why do you not take the trampoline frames? You get a ton of cords. That’s awesome!

What's a Foxtail box in OZ? Some mind of modem or cable box? Love the positivity in this vid. Also, Boy Swallows Universe finally made it to the US (Not my country, but I've lived there for many, many years). If you don't mind, 2 questions: 1) Were drugs really that bad in Brisbane (and other cities, I reckon) in the late 80's, early 90's? and 2) do people still use the expression "chuck day" as they do in the TV series?
@PolyProphet6 ай бұрын
Yes Foxtell boxes are cable boxes. I’m not sure about Brisbane but Melbourne & Sydney definitely had a drug epidemic at that time. I’ve never heard that expression before.

Is this how you started your scrap metal job ?

It’s my hobby. Initially I didn’t pick up any steel. Learning as I go 🙂

I DON'T FEEL HE IS A TRUE SCRAPER, ALL HE WANTS ARE CORDS. IF HE REALLY WANTED TO HELP HIS COUNTRY BY KEEPING SCRAP OUT OF THE LANDFILL HE WOULD TAKE THE SCRAP, N OT JUST CORDS AND APPLICANCES THAT HAVE WEIGHT; I HOPE THERE ARE OTHER SCRAPERS COMING ALONG BEHIND HIM PICKING UP THE PIECES.

All cap! 😆 Seriously though Elaine, if someone rescues a dog from a shelter, by your logic, they are idiots because they didn’t rescue every single animal in the shelter? It’s gotta be worthwhile or it won’t be feasible. I’m doing my best. That’s all one can really do. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 😊🙏🤙

Honestly ? ! ? Your comment was 3 weeks ago? This was an early vlog, he's grown into the "job". If you watch his later vlogs you'll see him load the truck & trailer with large bulky appliances to the max. Some that have already been scrapped for the copper/motors. He takes them anyway. Then you see other scrappers leaving a big damn mess in people's front yards. He picks up after them to certain degree.
