Possibly the most haunting song I’ve ever heard. Definitely one of Radiohead’s finest.
I had a version of this up before but I’ve been meaning to replace it as I wasn’t happy with it.
From Wikipedia:
“"Street Spirit (Fade Out)" is a song by the English rock band Radiohead, released on their second studio album, The Bends (1995). It was released as a single on 22 January 1996 and reached number five on the UK Singles Chart, Radiohead's highest position up to that point. Radiohead considered it a breakthrough in their songwriting. It was accompanied by a music video by Jonathan Glazer, and has been covered by acts including Peter Gabriel and the Darkness.”

When I was a kid I was messing with the TV and I found out that someone was broadcasting this song over and over again. I was living in a post-communist country with only two channels available. I didn't understand anything but the music was enchanting. Many years later youtube is reminding me of this experience. Those little things made me learn English.

Your vocal control is crazy! I’m currently learning this song myself but my voice has been breaking on “again.” I love the graceful wavering timbre of your voice on that part, it really takes up the room and adds a nice ambiance. Big fan of your covers man, keep up the great work.

Thanks so much Mike! Honestly, I had to work really hard at the long notes part. I find that I have to quickly suck in a whole lot of air before the note and just kind of hold it in my chest and then let it out gradually. It’s important not to push it out as you’ll never hold it long enough. But you also can’t sing too light otherwise it will crack. There’s a sweet spot somewhere in between

Your version is better (by my opinion) then original version. I had to listen the Radiohead original again and the acoustic version Le Reservoir Live by Radiohead. I have to say that your version is more emotional, harmonic, better crystalline sound. This cover version got me to the Radiohead again. Your cover is the opener for me. Thank You!!!!
