My sermon notes for "Start Sharp// strengthen your strength" week 2: 1.) The goal is to start sharp and stay sharp. Everything you think you can do well, you can do better 2.) You can only strengthen your strength by becoming a student again. You can't be too proud to fail at something you are strong at. 3.) God is expecting more from what he gave you. When you don't create, you critique. What if the gift was just to give God glory? Stir up the gift. You can't be concerned with the opinions of others in your purpose walk . The goal is not for people's appreciation but obedience. God does not have an age limit to your calling 4.) You need more room to do what God has calling you to do 5.) Break the contract with the lies you have believed 6.) Stand strong in your gift and stir it up. God is reminding you to stir up a gift that is already there 7.) We all have gifts, and they have come from God. God has not changed his mind about your gifts. Sometimes, it's more about what you are getting than what you are giving How do you know what your strengths are: 1.) Natural: These are gifts that come easy to you but are harder for others 2.) Named: These are gifts that loved ones and strangers can identify in you 3.) Nurtured: These are gifts that have been watered by your environment, encouragement, and effort 8.) Greatness is always nurtured What keeps you from strengthening your strength?: 1.)Comparisons 2.) Converting 3.) Complacency 4.) Comforting 9.) Flip the gift-- for the gifts who were mislabeled 10.) Strength submitted to God are success, but strength un-submitted to God becomes stress 11.) Make this the last time considering the gifts that God has given you as an option Strength prayer: Dear God, today I acknowledge that I am gifted ! I pray that you would help me stir up the gift you have placed on the inside me. Let your strength be my strength. In Jesus' name,amen. I feel led to say this, everybody please keep Pastor Michael Todd Lifted up in prayer. Pray that the Lord continues to strengthen, protect, guide him because his impact on our lives is greater than what we can imagine. I truly thank God for this brother. I’m in tears, even describing faithfulness which I seen a part of myself in that.. wrapping up mic cords.. when nobody is there applauding you.. people need this kind of encouragement, support, energy. I am in South Africa. I started listening to pastor Mike and transformation church last year and it has been changing my life every single day. I have had a hard time being a Christian for more than 16 years but he is opening up in my life what God really wants from me and I am so grateful. The Lord literally woke me up out of my sleep to hear this message.

🙌 so true anxiety I be praying constantly but it's true Mind rising with my situation. Had to give my little kids to daddy my oldest daughter and son it's with Grandma bc I lost everything. Had to sleep in my car and now I'm in a shelter. Just keeping my faith even though I want to control everything that I know it's not for me to control only God. Having my last child went through postpartum depression had to go to get help for my mental health I stared drinking pills it did help. Now I'm feeling like I'm going through it again anxiety and hardly can't sleep. But I see myself praying more. Than before.

This message landed in my lap this morning confirming every thing I have been doing lately. Such confirmation from my Father. This is the funny part. I watched it at 6 a.m. at the kitchen table where I pray and study every morning. My poor (blessed 😂) husband's name is Wayman. I shouted, Amen!, so loud, that he came running out of a dead sleep to the kitchen because he thought I shouted his name in distress. 😅 I laughed so hard! I said, "No, babe, I shouted, Amen, not Wayman!" I am crying from laughing. He will laugh about it later. I am sure of that. Thank you for this message. I have to go get to strengthening!

This really made me realize I have no gifts. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do. Just existing. I just hope my daughter has a better experience with life.

FAITHFULNESS

Glory to God! This was so good and so on time, I'm that 'good with helping persons, hospitality and admin, I'm literally working for our church for 3 days a week, my main source of income and though it doesn't pay all the bills, It's the best job I have doing admin, I would have done it free

Another thing you said was going back to school. In another sermon you spoke about going back to school. I have starting school last summer to obtain my Masters in Marriage and Family counseling. Lol before I was baptized I had strangers come up to me telling me I look like a Christian. Yrs later in my early adulthood I became one. I did a degree in teaching. Dislike teaching itself but loved connecting the children. I have strangers, coworkers and friends telling me that I look like a teacher. My mom wants me to teach n I just started a job at a call center. My spirit felt so unsettled the past few days in this job n lol when Michael said ur gift is named and people telling him who he will be in life. Ain't God good guess I got my answer

4:05 Oklahoma is actually in the South, not the Midwest. That’s why we don’t know how to deal with snow-cause we *aren’t* from the Midwest. 😅 But Pastor Mike’s right about people stopping to help. I wasn’t even old enough to drive the first time I helped push a car that was stuck. My dad was the one that pulled over to help, but I followed the adults. And there were at least six adults and one kid (me) pushing that vehicle, which made it super easy. It took hardly any effort, because there were so many people working together to help that driver get his car into a parking lot for safety.

This is Our Year god. every day we will for ever and always start sharp every day.... "Give me you heart and will help you with your habits"

Grateful Prayer: Hey Heavenly Father, it is me your daughter. How are you today? Well for me I can rate myself 6 out of 10. Father, I want to say Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to see another day. Father, Thank you for allowing my family, friends, love one’s, every person who is still living across the globe, the brokenhearted, son, daughter, and the hopeless. Thank you for your joy that lives inside of me each day. I don't even know the title for this grateful prayer. I am going to stay authentic and be h.o.t. Humble, open, and transparency. Father, Thank you for choosing me even when I am not perfect, when I don't feel equip enough you got me you are helping me to fulfill the purpose that you have for me for your glory. Thank you for providing for me and always will provide for me. Thank you for being my refuge and strong tower. Thank you for saying it is ok to see the bad in me, the good, and the things that I am working on. You tell me its ok daughter I got you, cry, scream let it out I am not like everyone else. Get out your head my child I will never walk out this door, I will never make you feel less then, every tear, I was there I feel your pain give it to me and I will pass it down to your sweet brother Jesus, who died on the cross for you and this world. Yes sis I cried on the cross and before the cross. U got you sis, I have your shattered pieces and making you whole again. But in reality you are whole even with these broken pieces because I am working in you. Because you are authentic, honest, loving, empathy, encouraging others, loving others that what makes you whole. I was in that dark place with you and bringing you to my light each day you love being drawn to my light. When others say Muriel the light I see in you comes from me but it is you sis it has always been you it's ok to take some credit. Continue to shine bright sis no matter what. Yes best friend it is me Holy Spirit you can give me all your emotions I will take it and comfort you with my sweet overflow presence. I will guide you and be the lamp to your feet.
