I cannot agree more, I was born muslim but lived my early days between blind faith and very poor and unfunded view of islam, and so you can expect that the moment I was challenged in my faith I unfortunately dropped the towel, and by guidance of Allah first and serious research and deeper understanding of the nature of faith, life and death I am finally at peace.
