Returning for the 2019 series are professional dancers AJ Pritchard, Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Anton Du Beke, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Janette Manrara, Johannes Radebe, Karen Clifton, Katya Jones, Kevin Clifton, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones, Oti Mabuse and Nancy Xu.
This week's movie special reaches its thrilling climax.

Rebecca Carolan Fred & Ginger - Top Hat I think, North by Northwest is right, the King and I is also right, (as are all the ones between those two) and I’ve been told the balloons under the arc de triumphe (sp?) is La La Land. I agree the train scene is really familiar but cannot place it. Not sure if the blue dress and AJ is another reference but 🤷♀️

LA LA LAND. Emma Stone was holding balloons in the montage at the end of the film. It wasn't the most obvious LLL reference they could have chosen tbf!

I don't think it was lala land it doesn't make sense with the paris background there's an old 1950's film French called the red ballon that might be it

@@rebeccacarolan262 It's definitely LA LA LAND. Emma Stone goes to Paris at the end of the film to make a film. Also, I think Strictly would wanna go for accessibility, in which case, picking an obscure French film might not really help.

Couldn't guess some of the films in there! I'm sure the pros had fun, but I would've preferred a dance themed on one film. Was that a Black Panther inspired dance with Oti in the lead at 1.51? If so I would've loved to have seen a full version of that! Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how beautiful Gorka looks in make-up at 2.25 lol.

SCD is so much better than DWTS. Based on the clips I have seen from SCD, DWTS just needs to throw in the towel. It has become a boring show. This was so much more fun to watch (and I haven't really heard of most of these stars).
