Just like whipping, different techniques usually produce the strikes. So this trip I decided to throw in a different method I’ve tried a few times before called “ hang bait.” Thanks to Skyler from @She_bite making my Ho’olewa to my specific specs I requested. I managed to catch one, just one of these a few years ago on Kauai. It was smaller but it was my goal to catch one in my week there so I was very happy.

Hows it!! The setup for this was a lazy man setup lol. Pe5 (ygk blue special) braided mainline with a barrel swivel to about 12ft of 100lb fluorocarbon line to a gamakatsu HD bait hook. Hit me on IG if you get any more questions.
