I agree, that we all need to think critically about judging, scoring, battles, and the future of bboying. Ive been in the scene for almost 20 years now, seeing the same exact problems, beefs, division, and especially poverty affecting the majority of Bboys lives. I definitely would love more people talking critically about the standards, and especially, the scores of the judges. If a one can't properly and accurately judge just one category, then how does he look at all?

Just to let you know: 1) Last year peeps were upset that MOO was underscored last year 2) Through the OUR System, MOO became interested to study what is foundation, and spent ALL year working on their foundation and using there routines in a more foundational way. I've been breaking for almost 4 years, obviously the first two were very on and off and I only got serious last summer. So there's my disclaimer. My biggest worry Dyzee is that people will use routines constantly in order to score as many points in as many areas as possible. Why not throw in everyone to cover all the bases? This OUR system has developed so many rules on how to judge (I like it by the way it's nice). Why not make a rule on how many routines can be used and how long they can be?

The scoring system works like this, there are 5 categories right? Each catagory has like a score from 0-5 I think. If a team for example scores1,5,3,4,2 and the other team scores 4,3,4,5,3. The catagories team B beats team A will light up and in the example above, team B got higher points in 5 catagories than team A so the 5 catagories will light up and team B would have 5 points. So team A will have 0 points and team B will have 5. Hope you get it
