Yeah, I agree. As the sport matures we'll start seeing bigger guys that are well conditioned and skilled. These guys (like Rogers) are harder for the smaller guys like Fedor. I mean Rogers probably weighed 280/285 on fight night, Fedor was 230. That's a big difference. Hopefully we'll get enough big guys in the future so a 220/230 weight class can be added for guys like Mir, Couture, Vera, Nog, Cain, Fedor, etc. Right now the HW division depends on these smaller guys.

He just fought back to back against UFC's former top 2 guys and demolished them. He's proven himself against the UFC elite. Granted there is a new generation of up and coming fighters like Cain, Carwin, Lesnar, and Dos Santos that seem to be the future of the HW division. Before everyone starts getting overly concerned about a Lesnar/Fedor fight Lesnar should plow through them first. He's yet to fight someone his own size like a Rogers as Fedor has numerous times.

To be fair, I think most reasonable people are mostly excited about the prospect of these two fighting on a simply spectacle level- no sensible person should actually compare their records. Fedor's record is the best.

The great GnP you think you saw did not happen. It looked worse than it was just because of the cut Fedor went into the fight with. Only like 2 shots actually connected. The others all missed and Fedor was able to transition to an armbar which he may have been able to pull off had it not been for the cage.

i have to finally agree, a unified strikeforce/WAMMA heaveyweight title, is more than a contender against UFC. The roster talent between those two organizations definatyley rivals UFC. I disagree that Roers is a worthy opponent however, and i think Brock would make short work of the Fedor we saw in rnd 1, rogers powered through submition attemtps, had good control on the cage...a bigger strionger faster better wrestler in brock, would demolish fedor in that reguard. Clayton I agree that rogers is a great fighter, I think it's bs that people are calling him a nobody. It would be interesting to see them fight again. If so, Rogers needs to eat and sleep fedor, plain and simple. If he did get better cardio, improved his stand up and wrestling, he would stand a chance. I just don't see those things happening though.

actually, ppl frm 180cms to 188cms hv been the legends in fighting and sports.. muhammad ali, mike tyson, mark spitz, carl louis, beyond that height there is no proper grounding or cardio.. At 6ft ur nearely as tall as a big guy but ur bones and heart are as big as him.. so thy hv more power for longer... Also if size matter that much, the Great Dane dog must win all fights but it gets eatten and chewed in the pit by rockwillers and other mid sized ones.

WTF are you talking about? Rogers is 5 inches taller and weighs 50 pounds heavier than Fedor. He's forced to cut to 265 from something like 280/290. Some of this weight of course he puts back on after the weigh ins before the fight. How much bigger is he to Fedor? He's a lot bigger. When he's on top of Fedor he smothers him with sheer size. And I'm not wanting more more more. I'm wanting to see fights between ppl of comparable sizes so it's more a contest of skill.

You should probably educate yourself first. Fedor has fought a lot of sub par competition for a guy of his stature. He's fought a surprising amount of fighters with losing records and even a fighter who was 0-1 when they fought. Lesnar has certainly been hotshotted way too soon and I'm no fan of his but if you don't see that he's more of a threat than many opponents Fedor has had you obviously don't understand much about MMA. Exaggerations makes you look dumb so I advise against them.
