Liam McAllister, professor of physics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell University, describes how string theory can explain fundamental puzzles about the universe and quantum mechanics, and explains what his latest research has discovered about the size of the universe.
Prof. McAllister’s presentation was part of the College of Arts & Sciences’ “Arts Unplugged: Science of the Very, Very Small” event that explored some of the exciting innovations in nanoscale science and their ramifications for human society.
