Where I live here in U.S., Texas insulated #1 is a single strand of copper wire the size of #2 pencil or larger. #2 insulated braded is defined as %30 - 90% depending on copper recovery or estimated insulation otherwise

Sorry my explanation is quite a bit off tonight if you don't understand me don't worry I've been scrapping so long I have to scrap my words just like business cards I never have to buy them I just use the ones I find in the garbage (just recycle everything) then you just might find what I was trying to explain. Now I'm trying to find a way to say something in proper English in an American voice to get more zeroes at least 6 to a 9 at the beginning 9 at payout at the scrapyard. Cheers Ya'all!

#2 pencil lead or larger is #1 insulated copper wire.

It would be called low grade copper wire "LGCW" like computer wire etc... different from harness wire though. Harness is in its own category.

You could bolt that cable stripper into the van bulkhead at the side save you taking it in to the shed
