Stripping off failed paver sealer / paver sealant

Brick pavers sealed by another contractor 4 months ago that we had to chemically strip the failed paver sealer off and re seal correctly.

I just started working with a company in south Florida, and we’ve seen some jobs look exactly like this. It can be frustrating but it’s satisfying when you take a crappy job and make look 10000 times better. It also keeps us in business lol

Great video! Finish looks spectacular ! I was wondering will xylene remove the sealer enough that I can remove the dirt underneath, one of my new guys sealed overtop of dirt in one area of the paving stone , in which I have to fix, your response is appreciated!

What did you use to strip sealer? Then you turbo rinsed afterwards?

Do you recommend silica sand over polymeric sand?

PMI 03 absolutely 100% Polymeric sand is very difficult to work with. Especially in Florida due to our moist, subtropical climate. Poly sand is designed to stabilize the joints when not sealing. Silica sand hardens just as hard and dense when sealed - and lasts just as long, looks better and performs better

No. Required a special strip chemical.

@@warpathh unfortunately. I'm a service provider. Not a trainer. Either hone owners or other contractors come to my business page looking to do it thrmselves, and are disappointed when they realise I'm not teaching others how to do my craft, and they attack my small business with leaving nasty comments or ruining the ranking if my companies online presence by giving the videos on here thumbs down because it wasn't what they were hoping to get out of it.

We are a business that sells this service. We are not a training school producing videos on how to train others this task. Stripping pavers is a very difficult process and not something you'll learn how to do off KZfaq regardless. Sorry to waste 10 min of your life. However, Thanks for the comment. 👍

@@dura-guardpaversealing2182 if I were to hire you or someone else who does this I would still want to know the process and the product safety codes for you chemicals you use I wasn’t looking for a training course.

@@dura-guardpaversealing2182 yeah I guess so I just removed the horribly applied sealer from my driveway that the previous owner applied the idiot thought that because the sealer dries clear it wouldn’t matter if the pump sprayer dripped all over the place plus the moisture content of the pavers must’ve been high when it was applied .
