The more I see of Windows 11, the more I’m convinced that Microsoft is willingly following the OS trend that they’ve had for nearly 3 decades now: Windows 95 was bad (stability wise), Windows 98 was good, Windows ME was bad, Windows XP was good, Windows Vista was bad, Windows 7 was good, Windows 8 was bad, Windows 10 was good (ish), and Windows 11 is just getting worse with every new development.

@@WyattOSheathat’s because 8.1 added back in the start button and booted directly to desktop. The only reason people said 8.1 is better than 8 is because 8.1 reversed a lot of the stupid decisions 8 made initially 😂

@@WyattOShea I think it’s mostly a matter of taste as W7 was the last OS built from the ground up specifically for Desktop, as everything after was made to work on more than just Desktop/Laptop. Nothing wrong with that, just different.

My best guess on having a sign up program is to make it more stream lined on what you buy. I'm willing to bet that someone is willing to pay for specific data that shows what people are buying and in what quantity they are buying it in.

That was the whole point. They used TikTok to make it seem like an "OK" think to do, but the fine print will lead to increased powers by the government. Unless the Supreme Court strikes it down as the un-constitutional pile of crap it is. That is nothing to say of the ludicrous money laundering they are part of with funding the Ukraine and Israel fighting that is also part of this bill. I mean to be fair, the government has been trying to get that Ukraine-Russia war going since 2014, they can't bail out on it now.

I think everyone is wrong with date formats. I have to put the date on a lot of files and I do everything with YYYY-MM-DD at the start of a filenames so the files sort by name correctly.

it's not slower than what amd already has, it's what they currently use, the only gpus that have faster memory are the 7800 xt and 7900 xt / xtx. We know they aren't planning to release anything for those tiers so maybe they feel faster memory speed isn't worth it for the tiers they are gonna be hitting.

Brett, #ETAPrime Has a video guide showing how one can enable AMD fluid motion frames on any of the 7840U & 7640U (Z1e and Z1) based handhelds. It is really easy, and has greatly improve the performance of my ROG ally. Perhaps you might want to do a video on this? I would watch it!

It cant be Ryzen 9000, because the R7 8700G is in 4nm and having 2 CCD's would be a Ryzen 9 8950X or G. The mobile version can only have these 2 names: Ryzen 9 8950HS max 54W or Ryzen 9 8955HX or G max 75w.

7:53 Would make more sense if thye released not threadripper but advanced AM5 or threadripper light. Get EPYC socket, put what you normally put in AM5 in it, then give like 40-50 lanes.

Valve changing refund policy - there are games that make you spend hour and a half figuring out how to play and then you try to go forward and you just can't take it. Hi Fi rush was like this for me - it's a game for rhythm game enthusiasts that already are skilled in the genre that tries to sell itself as newbie friendly just because the gameplay difficulty is set in a way you can fail all the time and still progress, which doesn't make sense if you want to get introduced to the genre. Anyway you can spend sometimes 4 or 5 hours in such new game type for you and figure out after that the game just isn't for you. And the time counts when you have the game paused and minimized while you browse the web to find what you don't get !!

Sorry I don't mean to be a stickler, but while they're similar on the surface, FreeBSD and Linux have some fundamental differences underneath the covers at the kernel level, some of which affect how one interacts with them. Your implied point that most people using a UI won't care, which I think is your point, is also true.

Fluid motion frames is useless. If the image has to be still and cant have too much movement, what even is the point? 200fps still image and 20fps gameplay? This new halo CPU iGPUs would have been good if Nvidia wasn't taking the console market. Since Nintendo is going Nvidia along with the Xbox, I don't see Sony too far behind. It's only a matter of time valve follows.

@@einstien2409 sure, slower cpu´s with higher power consumtion makes perfect sense in a power constrained environment. next point is, this console chips are highly specialized with colaboration between microsoft/ sony and AMD, they are made specificly for this product. intel doesnt make such chips, they have there portfolio and thats it. AMD on the other hand makes chip designs specificly for the costumers needs. and the same goes for nvidia

Brah, AMD has specialized chips for Playstation and Xbox. Even Nvidia can make those, based on the Nintendo. It's literally nothing. Of course Intel doesn't make any specialized chips for Sony or Microsoft, it's AMD doing it now. And AMD only makes these chips for PS and Xbox, not for every customers needs.

I think the 1.4 GHz thing is just AMD testing the lower part of the power curve, it's not indicative of the full power of course which should be around 5GHz, but seeing it perform so well at such slow clock means the battery life of laptops likely will get a huge boost.

AMD has already said they will NOT be putting out GPU's aimed at the mid/high high end market. The highest level they will have will be like a 7700 level card. They are focusing on APU'S and AI. So all the Plebes saying "Ill buy AMD next time" well get used to the idea that your going to have lower end graphics....Those are FACTS. AMD LOST the GPU wars.....

Does this ban include the PWA version of Tik-Tok that can be run in any mobile web browser? Does the ban also include access to the API that Tik-Tok uses so 3rd-party developers won't create wrapper apps for the service under a new name? After all, data collection can't work without an API. I fail to see why the US gov has such a hard on for Tik Tok. My limited research indicates its due to Tik Tok being able to track each keystroke of a user when using the built in web browser which can potentially be used to extract a user's bank info or other private info? Correct me if I am wrong. This apparently seems to concern the US government to the point they believe it could be a danger to national security. Can any coders help me out here. I don't get why any government official would use Tik Tok's built in web browser when relaying sensitive state information.

Statistically, we've almost hit the theoretical & practical limit of Silicon for microprocessor. Especially desktop CPU. If neither Intel or AMD make a move away from silicon, all CPUs released between 2025-2030s will be stagnant with very minor improvements

The way Americans write the date is the dumbest thing ever. I pointed this out as a child saying to my teacher who said to write the date Month/Day/Year and I quote, "You're dumb and I will not do that." Then there was talk of stupid friends writing the date wrong off the side of a bridge. The only two correct ways to write the date are Day Mon Year, e.g. 25 Apr 24 or Year/Mon/Day e.g. 2024/04/25. If you do it any other way you are the problem and will be sent to a prison on the moon.

You don't understand Linux or BSD or UNIX... not sure why I watch here when someone tells you the truth and you are still saying "I know its based on FreeBSD, and UNIX and all that... it doesn't matter, its Linux its Linux all the way down baby" ... no... no it is not at all. You also say that Linux isn't "ready" yet you say Macs run Linux... so I guess Macs aren't "ready" either. The iPhone, using iOS which also has the same base, definitely isn't ready for prime time if its all just Linux all the way down baby!
