For a second I thought that Magnussen would have it in the end due to lower downforce and thus higher top speed in the straight and DRS, but somehow the AM managed to *Stroll* its way by. The anticipation was impeccable. I wish there were more battles like that these days.

@@MR9Mouhib Alonso wasn't in exactly the same situation. Funny that. It was a different situation entirely - you can tell because the car, driver, and time of day were all different. And even more amazingly, the rest of the drivers managed to not spin there at all, making Alonso, at best, the second worst driver at this part of the track.

@@bbtodd 0.548 slower in Sprint Quali, 0.770 in Japan Quali, only outqualified Alonso due to damage in Australia (which is still a W to Lance even if Lance was 0.385 slower in Q1 & 0.070 slower in Q2), 0.726 slower in Saudi Arabia (And also crashed in the race, something which an 18 year old rookie didn't do) and 0.399 slower in Bahrain.
