J'espère que cette chanson fera comprendre au monde entier ce que c'est d'être une personne en angoisse existentielle et mentalement épuisée. La manière dont Stromae transmet cet enfer mental quotidien par cette instru déchirante, ces paroles toujours justes et même ce clip à la fois expressif et introspectif, c'est vraiment terrible. C'est douloureux de retraverser ces émotions, mais c'est une vraie libération de se sentir compris.

I don't speak French or understand it, but the minute this song started, I could feel it. I looked up the English translation and it is just what I felt, I could feel his pain. I will listen to more of his music and maybe learn some French in the process. What a beautiful language and painful song. I love music that I can feel and this was a prime example of feeling the song before knowing what the song was about. Extraordinary!

The part from 1:11 to 1:20 was enough to make me cry. Dealing with mental illness it's like a never ending trip to L'enfer. This song is meaningful to all the souls touched by the darkness. Je pense vraiment que Stromae est un artiste qui va traverser les âges. Je l'imagine vraiment étudié dans un siècle. En plus d'être un génie de l'art, il est le représentant de notre société actuelle, de ses travers et de ses tourments. Rien que le clip "tous les mêmes", est une mine d'or.

C'est bien vrai tout ça et pas toujours rassurant. Notre société manque de miséricorde, il faut être au top toujours tout le temps, ne pas avoir la moindre misère et au final tout le monde se sent misérable et écoute Stromae pour se rassurer.

What I really love about emotional music: I don't speak the same language as Stromae, I listen this song many times but never with English translation. But I could feel exacly what he sings about, because of emotions. I check the lyrics today and I was suprised how close my interpretation was.

Не знаю,увидят ли, узнают ли, но это шедевр!!!!!! Он создал концепт мысли "КАЖДОГО" человека, который прошел через осознание и самобичевание.Ему просто некуда деться.Тело просто осознаёт, что ему просто дальше сложно жить.С этим надо бороться,дальше идти в путь,смотреть на жизнь,но легче ему не становится.МАЭСТРО!!!!! Although the lyrics are amazing I haven’t seen anyone talk about the choreography. The choreographer and Stromae truly expressed the movements of being mentally drained and exhausted, frustrated and lost. Absolutely beautiful 💕

Nope on this , he s actually too slim and did this video too fast or "free from violence" on purpose I guess , because the real experience and expression of suffering permanent diseases and chronic mental issues cause are : self-harming slaps, punches or hitting the wall with your fists or flinging objects around these are the real common expressions and experience I had and witnessed as well

Il y a aussi Loic Nottet. Sa chanson Mr/Mme qu'il a sorti 2 ans avant l'Enfer de Stromae est absolument époustouflante au niveau de la mélodie, des paroles, de la voix (les vocalises à la fin de la chanson permettent d'évacuer toute la douleur ressentie pendant les 6 minutes intenses juste avant...). Son album en français Addictocrate est vraiment très bon.

Im not sure if i want to go in dialoge online about problems so close to me, Though your reply did catch my eye. Extualy the metaphore of "Light at the end of the tunnel" is one of the metaphores i have quite a problem with. let me explain, To me happiness is not somthing that exsists or atleast the world seems to me that way, And although people say it does excist and they have expierienced it does not mean it does exsist. What i think is that life is missery, We have things we think we want so we strive for that, We think that what we want will get is happy but in practise people do not know what they want or when they have it are not satisfied or happy. To me this is becouse we live in a delusion. That light at the end of the tunnel to me is just the hope people try to give me as in: Yes you can, you can be helped, there is happyness, live is not just depressive. I dont think there is light at the end of the tunnel I think poeople see a light at the end of the tunnel so they think that it exists so you try to get to that light although you never get there. People who think they have reached they light to me is just temporary. i think they good bits we experience is a thing to get trhough live in hopes it happends again. To me those little happy moments do not weigh up against life. So then my quastion is: Why would i still try?

Ce décor me parle énormément. Tant de fois, j'ai voulu être réduite à néant, c'est à dire ne plus exister ni dans ce monde ni dans aucun autre parce que je ne voulais juste plus souffrir autant. La chaîne 'culpabilité' c'est ma préférée ces derniers temps, je me sens coupable tout le temps, illégitime en tant qu'être humain... Bref c'est lourd. J'apprends à m'aimer tel que je suis et le chemin est encore long. La première fois que j'ai écouté cette musique, je me suis juste ambiancé dessus sans réellement comprendre l'histoire qu'elle racontait. Aujourd'hui je reviens l'écouter et elle me parle à un tel point. Je ne suis pas toute seule à être toute seule, ça fait déjà ça de moins dans la tête... eh oui

in the past he’d struggle a lot with depression. One of the reason why he step out of his music carrer for a couple of years. The lyrics, the voice behind it, instrumental and visual is an experience. He came back with true words and a many can relate with this song (so do I). C'est comme ça que les gens qui ont des pensées suicidaires en arrivent au suicide: en essayant d'enfouir, de ne jamais en parler et de leur donner ce sentiment de culpabilité permanent. C'est en en parlant que les gens se rendent compte qu'ils ne sont pas seuls et que malgré que même des gens comme Stromae ont pu ressentir ça, ils peuvent trouver le succès et même le bonheur. Mais c'est quelque chose que ceux qui n'ont jamais eu envie de se suicider ne peuvent pas comprendre. Mais au moins s'ils pouvaient essayer au lieu de juste blâmer les autres. Ces pensées c'est des merdes qui reviennent tous les X temps mais qui peuvent être chassées et combattues avec de l'aide, même si c'est un truc récurrent à faire. Mais les gens qui ne savent que faire culpabiliser la personne font l'exact inverse et empirent le problème. De plus, je ne vois pas en quoi c'est "néfaste pour les biens portants". Si vous n'avez eu ce genre de pensées, soudainement cette chanson vous en donnera? N'importe quoi.

The message from this track brings me goosebumps.... I fought depression for many many years and I feel every word so much... Especially the twist from the calm piano and the electronic music with this high voices... Stromae describes depression and the mind perfectly... In one moment you are calm and quiet and in the other moment your head wants to explode because you have thousands of bad thoughts... This song is a masterpiece Stromae is such a incredible musician, one of the best our time 🙏🏼💯

As someone who suffers from suicidal thoughts, manic depression, and BPD outbursts.. This really hit home. A very personal note for me. Seeing how the internalized feelings creep through into inhuman movements, only to be numb and "okay" again.. I love this. I live for this. Thank you 🙏💕

Merveilleux, tellement vrai ! Si ce morceau de Stromae pouvait contribuer à briser le tabou autour de le dépression et des pensées suicidaires que cette maladie fait endurer, ça pourrait aider tellement de gens et faire évoluer l’aide aux personnes qui en souffrent! Un immense bravo et merci à Stromae d’avoir eu le courage d’en parler grâce sa musique !

On peut aussi dire merci à Loic Nottet et à sa chanson Mr/Mme qui a touché profondément ceux qui l'écoutent. Il a également une très belle chanson en anglais "Cry Out" et il n'hésite pas à parler frontalement du suicide avant cette chanson lors de ses concerts.

This guy has always proven that he and his team are creative geniuses, but he took it to another level yet again with this one. It's odd music; it has weird rhythms, weird sounds, weird combinations, weird everything and to manage to combine them into a song that not only sounds good, but also manages to tick all the boxes that make music enjoyable to listen to, and then has great synergy with the meaning of the lyrics, that's just artistry beyond the expected. Music like this deserves a spot in a museum.

Captured exactly how I feel, also with Sante and its dragged out timing and the tension of the strings behind a happy melody creating a sense of struggle and even bitterness towards those who have caused such struggles, yet the melody and dance beat pushes the party onwards... incredible artistry. Love how the lyrics and meaning to these songs are so cohesive and yes synergistic with the musical elements. I just found Stromae's music and can already tell he is a beautiful soul

This song is so powerful! I cannot even express what I feel towards it. It speaks to me. Stromae is one of the rare artists who remained true to their own selves which is why many people can relate to him. So glad to see you’re back!

Tentative en Juillet et je me sens encore seul. Hypersensible je suis et mes émotions m'envahissent, elles m'étouffent... Je perds mon taf et mon mariage est au plus bas. Aller courage mon frère. Malgré tout cette différence est ce qui fait notre force et la chance de comprendre, d'avoir des points de vue différents sur la vie, sur le monde. It is hard sometimes. Life ain't easy. Be strong! Someone said: "Happiness is not about getting all you want. It is about enjoying all you have" . I learned to be thankful and humble because plenty of people have less than i do and are still happy. People who have tougher lives motivate me to move forward. Many are hungry, sick, and therefore don't have the essential stuff, the health ecspecially, the most precious thing you can have! Don't forget the other people who suffer but fight and have vision, hope for the future! Look up to them and their spirit. Admire them! That's what i do. And it makes me feel better.
