The topic of "strong forms & weak forms" should be accompanied by the topics of "sentence-stress" and "link-ups" at the same time. My native language, Standard Indonesian, for example, is not a stress-timed language. We, Indonesians, speak English without stress, weak forms and link-ups. This is our big problem in international communication. We tend to make our own English, understood by Indonesians only. Someone has to do something about this.

So we have WORD. Then we have polysemy of the WORD. Then we have strong and weak usage for each polysemic of the WORD. Lee's Elucidation: A finite number of words must be made to represent an infinite number of things and possibilities.
