Ken's vote for Jon in final 3 was crazy. Evil had already won at this point, because they had 3 of the 6 remaining votes, but Ken gave good a theoretical chance to win.

John always does this. He has the ending of the game on 100% lock, but he plays it out like an angsty townsfolk. 😀

I see Sullivan, Ken, Jon, and Holly, and I don't even need to see the roles or anything to know this is already going to be a trip.

A new BOTC channel? What a steal! My love for this game has remained strong since I found it 6 months ago and I don’t know if I can even count how many games I’ve watched at this point since then. I was so lucky to get the physical grimoire this Christmas and it’s always good seeing people run the considered “beginner” edition since I hope to use what I watch to help conduct my own games in the future! Maybe one day I can run a group this big but for now Im fine working up from teensyville haha look forward to seeing more from both familiar and new faces!

That was a really great first game! I'm glad you provided an edited version, I started watching the VOD of the livestream but didn't really have time to commit to the full 3+ hours. The newer players were really entertaining and had some solid social reads, so I'm excited to see how they go once they're more experienced with the game.

This was such a great example of a game involving new players. First of all, hats off to Acardo for immediately knowing to protect the outed good, I've seen many players not understand how a virgin works. Or just try to protect powerful roles rather than confirmed spent ones. Also their social reads were really good. I think the main thing that lacked was people ignoring information and relying solely on social reads. I think the chef 1 especially could've had that game in the bag for good, but Raquel didn't really manage to get a word in. Also the fortune teller no on bennet and sully was such vital info at final 5. Either way, it was a great showcase of how to win as evil, and how the game's logical aspect is just as important as the social!

Mara speaks the truth! I've been watching both storyteller and player point of views for months. I tried my first online game and got soldier and no one would let me self-nominate. The second game, however, is when I was the drunk undertaker, and as it was my first info role, I was very excited to share my info, only to find out everyone knew after N2 that I was drunk. Third, I was the sage, and of course I made it to final three. I thought I knew who the demon was, but when I nominated them the entire game told me I just lost the game. I didn't lose. But it kinda soured me on playing, and now I'm back to just watching. As an improv performer and drag jester, I think I would play the game well, but maybe I need to play either with my friends or with a gardener to make sure I didn't get a role that doesn't eff me over.

Oof this came out just after I watched the full livestream, oh well, I enjoyed that immensely as well

Nice game! Mara at times gave a little too much during narrations, like saying "the game continues, the executed player was not the demon!" Or "Your neighbors have changed" to a (Drunk) Empath who at the time would only know of one new neighbor

I don't understand why Jon slow rolls so much when he wins games. I know he is not trying to taunt or anything, but it could annoy other people he plays with.

these are great, even placed in comparison to NRB as my 'pinnacle' of BOTC presentations. Thanks for pulling these together! i did have a few suggestions to make them even better: 1. I am not sure if it is the accent or what, but sometimes I have a hard time understanding Mara - many times she says a lot of words very very quickly and I can't decipher them all, to the point where I don't understand what she is saying! This is most important when she's a storyteller. I lose half of the gameplay explanations and rationale for decisions when this happens. 2. the audio levels are different for each person sometimes. i find myself constantly changing the volume. 3. even having watched all the NRB BOTC episodes, I still need a reminder of what each character does. is it possible for you to review each character's abilities during the set up? we can always skip it if we know it already...it's just so handy to see the abilities and how each character may interact with the others. 4. i don't need music, as others have suggested. I'm so engrossed i didn't even notice the lack of background! thanks Chris (and any other team members involved!!)! Well done to everyone!!
