The main requirement of the seismic design of the reinforced concrete structure is strength of column should be always more than the strength of beam.In this case, I found that the strength of column beam ratio is different in different Country's design codes.For instance the ratio is 1.3 as per ACI and 1.2 as per Eurocode.What could be the reason behind the existence of different values? Thank you

Nice video. In our case our foundation concrete testing results failed and hence our structural eng suggested for greater beam (more strength) replaced with plinth beam. After watching ur video , i am Confused. Pls clarify if plinth or greater beam can be stronger ? And beam above ground level is what should be weak as per your lecture ?

Sir, we are building a 2-storey house and the schedule of columns are 4 (16 mm steel bars) and 2 (12 mm steel brs), the schedule of beam is 4 (16 mm)?is that okay? The steel.of.the beam used are heavier than the columns?

Sir 3story building keliye 10*12 coloumn size sahi rahega kya ?? 6 piece of 16mm rod diya he... Coloumn to coloumn distance 12 feet.... Kuch KZfaqr keh raha he 3 story keliye 10*16 or 9*15 ke coloumn size hona chahiye... 10*12 sirf 2 story bana sakte he... Maine already 2 story bana suka hu... Now i'm thinking for the 3rd slab... Mistry bola kuch nehi hoga aap bana sakte he... Kuch problem hoga kya... I'm confused...🤔🤔 Please reply....
