STRONGMAN's crazy ATLAS STONE technique, CHEATING or GENIUS?

Welcome to the Mateusz 'Belsak Bounce'
- A crazy technique that worked in one of Matyeurrsz. balsaks' early contests . The Slovenian strongman was lifting a 310lbs 'Stone to Shoulder' up and down for Repetitions in Budapest in 2014 when he decided to bounce the stone off the floor...
- Eddie Hall of Great Britain and Jason Bergmann of the USA also in contest.
- Hall went first and didn't think. to make use of the springy rubber mat to his advantage.
- Watch this dangerous technique which left the referee team unable to act as ( in theory ) the. bounce wasn't against any ruling.
- Being smart and being strong really can, and often do, go hand in hand!

Which is the express point of most regulated competitions. To find new innovations in a field. Work smarter not harder. Even strongman which is based in obvious acts of showmanship plays to this.

If it's legal in the rules, brilliant move to realize it. And also, the rules.should be changed because it's clearly contrary to the intended nature of the event.

I knew what it was going to be before the vid even started. Legal is a grey area as this is clearly not the intended form but ethically, this is not even close to "in the spirit of being a strongman". I would be embarrassed to pull this.
@lhughes6656
@lhughes6656 4 жыл бұрын
Yea, it's definitely not in the rules but apparently a grey area. NO ONE was expecting them to bounce that stone like that. NO ONE. Not the people who created this event or the rules for it. And because of that "do not bounce the stone off the mat and catch it" was not included in the guidelines. It even sounds silly considering how much that thing weighs. To me it should never have been accepted but being that it was not specified in writing means they could do it and get away with it. Aside from being incredibly dangerous, half the strength is taken from the lift by not picking it up off the ground. I would imagine this oversight has since been corrected.

@@camilofuentes7056 you do realize that they have group rules walkthroughs and question sessions with the judges the day before right? I guarantee at least the first guy who bounced would've asked if that technique is allowed and gotten the greenlight to do it. What's more likely is that Eddie and the other lifters deemed it too dangerous considering the two guys bouncing it weren't serious competitors. Sometimes champions sweep the whole comp, but more often than not, a champ is crowned based on who can win one or two events and place top 3 in all the rest, no serious contender for first place is gonna risk a crushed foot for an extra couple reps.

make it so, number one yes, maybe theyre getting paid well, and want to do it. But why choose to have them standing there and just do nothing in the first place?? Doesnt make any sense, in F1 they at least like, danced around with umbrellas and had the team logos on them, here the women could literally just be replaced with sex dolls, and they’d do the job just as well. This is strongman, not a stripclub.
