Wayne although my heart still breaks everyday I could not have survived without the support of all of Nicholas’ friends who have not left us us. I can’t forget how you all took the planning of his funeral out of our hands and made our Grief easier to bear even though you were grieving too. Yourself and Kibwe sang at his funeral and I can still hear the beautiful music in my head. The tributes you all organized , Camille, Stephen leading the pack of awesome friends. This video is beautiful, your story telling brought tears to my eyes, but these are tears of love and appreciation for the comfort you gave me by telling the story. Wayne thanks for sharing. My Story I never been in an accident but I've seen how God protected me. When I hear Wayne said in his mind he was saying no, don't go back around but he didn't say it, It remind me of a near accident I miss. This is my story. My grandmother passed and I went to the funeral in a AD wagon with my dad, mother, brother and grandfather. When the churching was over I decided to not go to the burying ground with my family who I came with but I wanted to travel with some extended family in a van. So I started to look for the van and I kid you not, I only hear something say 'go back with your family' I didn't even question it I just turn back and went into my dad's car. On our way to Clarendon, we saw a bus turn over in the middle road a far way and we in the car was saying oh Lord I pray no one is hurt (we were too far to know it was the van). As we got closer and I look good I say wait isn't that my cousin they pulling out and I only hear my fadda say 'Jesus Christ a mi bredda (my uncle) van' and when my fadda pull ova and run to help them, honestly I was numb and lost and I cried. The thing is in that moment there is so much emotions running through you and at the same time you're trying to remain sober for others. No one died, but they were hurt BAAAAADDDDDD, doctors had to cut off my cousin wedding ring to save her finger. Them did bruk up BAD and end up miss the burial. My uncle was pinned in the car seat because of the seat belt and even now I always try to have something just in case I have to cut myself out or something, but seat belt traumatize mi. Seeing him pinned and no help and the van about to catch flames did something to my mind. I was reflecting on how God kept me and protect me and I questioned and say, what if I wasn't obedient? I wouldn't be here today, heart attack might woulda kill me, I just don't know, but this is my story.

I’m sure NIcholas is proud of the man, artist, husband and father you are Wayne. Life is fleeting. Make it meaningful.

That unfortunate incident has positively changed my life...It changed the way I drove as a teenager and I'm positive in made my peers even more mindful of the unforgiving nature of road usage. Nicolas was my classmate at UTECH at the time in Bus Ad! It was one of the worst send off for me to attend because , as you say, he was one of the most caring persons in our program ever ! He was an honorable and caring person and his absence was felt throughout the whole program ! 😔

I remember when Nicholas used to drive into Immac to pick up Kim in his gold car. The girls LOVED him! I also remember you singing that song Wayne at the funeral, I just didn't know at the time that it was you... it blessed me! The way St. Andrew church was packed up, you couldn't really see anything... I was practically out the door. In fact, all I remember that day was how packed it was and your rendition of Lauryn's song. Even though I didn't know him personally, I knew of his sister and from my sister, who was in her year at Immac, I came to understand the devastating impact this situation had on her and the family. It has stuck with me till today, I'll never forget. This was a beautiful video. I love that friends like you and his family keep his memory alive.

This one was hard to watch, but I'm so grateful you shared. I remember this vividly. I left this party just before the accident had happened and I woke up to the news. Always hard to decipher the lessons in hard moments such as these, but I always have to lean on the fact that God knows best. RIP to Nicky Lue Lim. Hearing the story really made it so real again. Nuff prayers and blessings to his family, as it never fully heals but as you said, it gets just a little easier as time goes by.

Those were the days when people helped during an accident. Someone with an axe ready to help. Nowadays they are just spectators fooling their camera so they can share on social media.

This story has brought tears to my eyes. I can only imagine the pain that was felt by all who knew Nicholas at the time. How quickly tragedy can strike and how much hurt it can cause. I've listened to Wayne, share his story of being caught up in a situation that had him thrown in prison and here again in the loss of his friend by car accident. It is clear that God had a protective covering over your life from early and these are not just stories, they're testimonies.

My wife and I were just saying that hearing your story about almost drowning, car theft story, and now to hear about that bad accident, God definitely still has you on this earth for purpose. I had heard a part of this story through another source, but I still cried for your pain and loss, and for Nicholas' family. From all accounts, he was a wonderful young man who engendered love and loyalty among his many friends and is stilled missed today as much as he was when he initially passed. But clearly, his life had purpose which is shown in his friends and family and their achievements. May God continue to bless you all as Nicholas looks down from his heavenly home with joy and love, proud of how well you have all done.

I can relate to this story as I lost my only brother in 2005. This made me emotional as I started remembering the morning we got the call he was murdered. When I went to UHWI and saw his lifeless body I froze, the endless tears started flowing and I literally died a thousand times when I realized he wasn't coming back. He was my friend, mentor, dad, storyteller, comedian and biggest cheerleader. I would do anything to have him here with us. Wayne thank you for sharing this emotional story. You are a blessing to his family, especially his sister.

I remember hearing that LueLim had died cause at that time when Polo and Golf Club was the main party location my friends and I were there regularly and we were very scared of driving on Mandela to get home. Too many accidents have happened on that stretch all because of careless people and it's always the innocent ones who die.

When I saw the tears start to fall off Wayne's cheeks I really started to feel his pain .. that even now... the loss is hard... tbh that's one of my biggest fears because my friends n I travel same way... everybody together but multiple vehicles and always have to check in to say we reach home.. This brought back sad memories for me, I was lost a friend in an accident. He and his older sister came from Kingston to live with his uncle in Manchester as their mom migrated. His mom sent him a bicycle and he was riding with his cousin when he was hit off by a market truck. Listen when I tell you the entire community was is mourning.
