We also can memories between anode cathode that is A-addition and anode is positive charge Were, Cathode is opposite of anode so obviously it is negative charge !

Cathode rays are negatively charged particles so you might have observed that the magnetic plate is positively charged and that is why it moves downwards towards them

If you're curious: Who discovered the proton - Eugen Goldstein or Ernest Rutherford? Well this question is somewhat like “ Who discovered bulb the person who thought of this idea first,or the one who actually made an electric bulb whom we now know as edison? See Goldstein definitely contributed to the thought of atom having proton as subatomic particle before rutherford did, but he could not enlighten us with the precise information about it unlike rutherford I. E. Goldstein was the one who provoked scientists to believe the presence of some positively charged particle in atom via his anode ray experiment , but he could not give proper explanation to it, because the e/m ratio of anode rays vary with type of gas, so he could not assign a proper value to proton (because due to changing value of e/m ,thd value of m would also chnge hence how could he tell which one is the specific value of proton or which gas is the suitable to be filled in the anode ray tube so as to get a specific value of proton ), hence his thoery of positively Charged particle remains unnamed and vague. Whereas years later, Rutherford gave a thorough description about the presence of positive particle inside the nucleous of atom, which he called as proton (via his gold foil experiment). Hence you can say E. Goldstein was the one who originated the idea of proton, but lacked to conclude his thoery, on the other hand Rutherford clearly justified his thoughts about proton, hence getting the credits of discovering it.
