It's a great series, an iconic series. Best of a generation for sure. BUT not the first. Check out "Porky's" and the sequels Porky's II and III. "Revenge of the Nerds" is an iconic standalone coming of film as well.

I love all 4 American Pie films & saw all 4 of them in theaters when they where released in theaters. I was only 10 years old in 1999 when the first American Pie came out. I was super excited to see the film as my mom & stepdad had shown me before the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High so I was ready to see Amercian Pie even though I was only 10.

:30- okay now to fully appreciate this you'd have to watch both movies, but if you want some funny sexual humor react to "Van Wilder" and the sequel "The Rise of Taj." They are from around the same time; but for a college audience rather than High school one. But you would be laughing at both I'm sure.

Kind of mean to say things like the Sherminator shouldn't have gotten the girl in the beginning just because she looks too good. Superficial. If if was just the attitude, that would be different. Please shake things up and watch a mix of movies, including actual classics and award-winners. Old does not mean low quality. In fact, many "older" films are much better written and produced than today's films.
