Myself I never dated within my tribe (You ask fir their clan and they are related) so I ended up dating a guy from a different tribe. 😂 People think Natives eat the same food, speak the same but no it's different. I never knew that until I met him and we started learning eachothers language/culture/foods. 💖 Haha love the video. 💖

What's funny is, as much as 'latinos' love to talk about our similarities, there are a lot of differences between us as well. Dating outside ones culture is one thing, but cover the topic of dating OTHER Latin people from other parts of Latin America. Some groups aren't that accepting or open minded to other groups, even within the Latin community. Overall, even when you ARE Latin, there are still cultural differences to consider, because we don't all function the same.

Loida Guajardo My boyfriend is Indian and I am Mexican. Being an Asian male is really different than being a Mexican woman in the USA, and we have been discussing the differences of Asian vs Latino privileges in the Western world. It took a WHILE for my boyfriend to understand me especially he grew up/dated among Desi/Indian and White culture and I am the FIRST Latina friend and girlfriend to even top it off. But we have 9 months together so far, and we are learning everyday from our lens and sharing them. It DOES take hard work, but I think it is paying off.

It's not even just a struggle dating a non latino because within the latino community most nationalities are very different. As someone who is half Cuban and half Puerto Rican I don't have much in common with some other latinos Mexicans, Colombians, Dominicans ... I’m a Latina (Mexican/Ecuadorian) and currently dating a lovely Russian guy. I guess thing the biggest challenge that face us is our families’ language barrier, while we’re fluent in English, each of our parents are not, so communicating with them requires one of us to translate. Recently my boyfriend surprised me by taking a Spanish course at his university, which in turn prompted me to start learning Russian. It’s been lot of fun learning each other’s native language and has brought us closer!

She probably just popped into a couple videos that week. But each editor is doing their own thing and there isn't a set release schedule. With some BF videos you can tell it sat a while and with others it looks like they just hurried up and did something to have a release (Ladylike, for instance).

The biggest struggle is that the most people can't handle us Latinas! I have that experience that I'm always too loud, screams so much and my Dominican family it's fucking crazy. So the most gringo are shocked when they visit us. So i think sometimes other latinos understands us a little bit better than Non-Latinos.

I love when y'all make relatable content!!! I'm sitting on the couch with him and even he agrees and he especially was like "Thaaaats why you say hello and goodbye to everybody." I would say don't do it. Unpopular opinion I know but of all the Spanish / Latino people I've dated 1% of their families have been nice to me. I don't speak Spanish but I understand a lot and every time I would go to their houses they would be talking s*** about me thinking I didn't understand. Or constantly say to the guys why can't you find a nice Spanish girl? Or she's too dark can't you date a light skin black girl? And then didn't have the decency to be ashamed when I called them out on what they said. Yes I may have just met shity people but I'll pass.

My husband is Puerto Rican and one thing I promised him is that I would learn about his culture. It’s been one amazing experience for sure from learning the Spanish language (which I’m still working on) to learning how to cook Puerto Rican dishes such as pasteles with his tia, etc. Dating outside of your culture with someone who’s got an open mind and an open heart is beautiful. Love is love is love. :)

I've been married to a Mexican for almost 20 years. I learned to speak Spanish, just like he learned English. I learned how to cook things he likes from his Mom. I know more about his culture than I do my own. He has done much the same. When you love someone that's what you do. Our traditions and how we have raised our kids is a great mix of the both of us. Love is first , everything else was secondary.

I’ve thought about this! Being just two adult individuals is ok. But when children are being raised I assume it will be tough to decide religion, where to celebrate the holidays, traditions the family going to be authentic to, traditions are going to be blended if applicable, ... I’m so interested in this topic. Make a video going into detail, please.

Being a first generation Mexican American, I never thought I’d date outside my race. I am currently in a relationship with my high school sweetheart for 5 years who happens to be white. His patience and understanding of my culture is AMAZING. He knows to say hi to EVERYONE in a room when I have family over and it helps that he’s in love with my culture’s cuisine and language! He’s beginning to become fluent in Spanish and is able to speak to my grandparents which means the world to me. I never thought my soulmate would be white! Always have an open mind when dating!
